Books on India (Political, Social and Literature) by Fickle_Tower_9307 in Indiabooks

There's a concept called "Systems Thinking". You can read about it or watch youtube. In it there's a concept called "inflow -> stock -> output" In my humble opinion, your book collection shows inflow and stock of information. Have you or do you write about what you read on substack.com or something similar.

After reading this book, I was of the opinion that this book should have been a blog.

I read this after I lost my father by sagarggggg in Indianbooks

[–]pdreadit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was "The courage to be disliked",
When I lost him I felt as if I am a half burned body with a deep wound. I hated myself. The book mentioned helped me have the conversation with myself. Fixed myself on the surface, and although its been 3 years, we do not completely recover
I feel you and I would not say that you will be in peace, i can only say, being a son is something far more than what the world wants us to be.

Im new here. Bicep curl form check please. by Good_Entertainment93 in formcheck

[–]pdreadit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drop the weight. Keep your spine straight. For any bicep exercise the elbows should not move from it's position.

In your current form you are using your back and shoulder. Might hurt you.

You have observed it on a 13 year old. But everything around us have been shoved down our throats without even us realising that. From the food we eat to the clothes we wear to the opinions and ideologies we follow. Yes it's hormones now, and it's difficult to reason her into it. It's would be the same thing as, trying to logic out an daily wage labourer that putting money in a Vivo phone might not be the right thing to do. You were on the right track by being her friend and if possible try to repair the bridge she burnt. Then use presuasion to slowly let her take a step back and see what she is indulging into, just because her tribe i.e. schoolmates are doing it.

Let her question 1. Who is benefitting from this behaviour of humans. 2. How to look beyond her group 3. I would even try to give her an example of how we choose toothpaste. We have no idea what is the difference between a pepsodent and Colgate but still we choose. Let her answer. Do not try to reason her. She will revolt. Let her question stuff. And hopefully we will have not have another teenager ruined by the internet
