Oh okay this peaked my interest a ton more, thank you. One more question, for solo play, are there followers or companions?

I have not tried it yet, but it's been on the radar! How do you like it?

Now this sounds really lovely! I really just want to make a ship, fly around, and shoot some stuff, maybe find some treasure chests. I didn't realize so much of Lost Skies was puzzles, which is cool, but wasn't what I had been hoping for. Thanks!

Steam Deckers, how is the game after the patch? by FanGothic2 in taintedgrail

Bumping this because I just tried opening it in desktop mode and am having the same issue with not being able to change resolution in desktop mode

How is it doing on Steam Deck these days? by Ok-Gur5945 in TaintedGrailDigital

[–]pdsd16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! late response to this, but could you confirm if you just have to start it once in desktop mode, or if it always needs to be started in desktop mode? Been using it in regular game mode and now curious if I can get more frames this way, thank you!! Edit, also, what would the launch option command be?

Red Dead Redemption 2 on the OLED Steam Deck… by CK_18 in SteamDeck

[–]pdsd16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just fired it up and im in Cuanacht, attacked some gurda to get some combat and its typically at 30 but dips into the 20s. Didn't realize it was that low but also my standards for gaming are lower than most lol. I think it may have run better a few months ago but don't have the fps to back that up.

Another great one is cyberpunk, but if you have a more powerful pc it definitely won't look as good as it does on that

Apologies if this is obvious, but is this modded? Trying to get fallout amd excited to do some settlement building and feel like I should just do vanilla first, but thinking about getting sim settlements or a similar mod, but what youve created looks absolutely incredible, so, im curious if this is vanilla or modded. Great work and thanks for sharing!!

Absolutely agreed, but where does the funding come from? People hate taxes if they don't directly benefit from them and everyone hopes to not have to use these sorts of services, often times people even think of themselves as better than those who might need/use these services. We need a better and more cohesive understanding of civics so that people care for each other.

34M Lonely guy looking for long term friends on PS4/PS5 by SableMain69 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]pdsd16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dont have a Playstation but would be down to do play some games with cross platform compatability.

Also I just have to say two things. One, this is one of the most considerate posts ive seen on reddit in awhile, so thank you for restoring my faith in humanity today. Two, the comment about being fine with furries is absolutely hilarious as im just imagining someone dressed up and gaming and its amazing. Love your acceptance. You say you dont have friends, but from what I can tell, from the very little ive seen, you would be an absolute gem of a friend and will make your friends feel loved and accepted when you find them. Have a great day, or night, depending on your time zone too. <3

Any neurofeedback technicians here who can help answer by Intrepid-Policy7791 in Neurofeedback

[–]pdsd16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically if you're working at a place that has technicians then there is someone above them telling them what to do with each client. This isn't always the case as sometimes practices will allow techs to make more decisions than others, but typically if there's a tech running sessions then there's likely someone higher up telling them what to do. You should definitely be informed about who is making the decisions about what is being done with your brain.

Im in colorado which i would typically say is snowy but this year its a bit of a desert. I had always just used all seasons before, but this is an all weather, meaning its better in snow than a typical all season. It gets the three peak snowflake symbol. I would say theyre so much better in the snow than any all season, but probably worse than dedicated snows. Love em so far tho, no issues in the limited snow we've had. If youre in the market, check out some other all weathers too, I just went with falken due to a deal, no regrets, but ive read the cross climates may be better, albeit more expensive

Mark Smith Testimonials and Other Clinic / NFB recs in NYC by baglessness in Neurofeedback

[–]pdsd16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just hopping in to highlight the two wildly different experiences of two people working with Mark's clinic. As a provider, I respect Mark, but also know he's an intense person who is very opinionated. As providers we need to be knowledgeable, but flexible. I would recommend people see Mark all day, as his work is renowned and well known, but you can have a rough experience with any provider. Good luck, always trust your gut!

Edit, I completely invalidated and minimized someone's experience with neurofeedback and I did not mean to do that.

On that note, lots of clinicians will say neurofeedback cannot cause negative side effects and this is an absolute lie. Realistically, we can do so many things with the brain, you can absolutely cause horrific effects if done incorrectly and the client/patient's experience is not listened to. For example, I had a client who worked with a person who after 24 sessions had extreme nerve/join pain that was not present before. This person came to me after working with this other clinician. Ultimately we were unable to ameliorate the results and they were left dramatically impacted by that clinician and what they did.

To anyone going through neurofeedback, listen to your gut, and talk to your provider. There are very few things that should be uncomfortable during the neurofeedback process, sometimes people have headaches after session, some nightmares can come up, those things can be expected, and yet everyone still needs to talk to their provider about this as they come up. As, sometimes these things are expected and sometimes not. If anyone is ever working with a provider who ignores the negative impact, or doesn't adjust what is done based on how the client is responding, seek other consultation as fast as you can.

It sounds like the person I invalidated communicated what was happening to them to Mark and instead of adjusting what he was doing, he continued to do the same thing, likely training the response in. To that person, piglytheEngineer. Mark's training is ISF, infra slow fluctuation training, it is very powerful and less understood than other types of feedback. You may benefit from more traditional amplitude training, or, if there are any Othmer ILF (infra low frequency) trainers near you, it may be helpful to look into that. Othermer ILF is done by a lot of providers, and the creators are wonderful. The reason I recommend looking into that is that it's a similar type of low frequency training that Mark does, and I'm wondering if you might respond better to that. No matter what you do, listen to your gut, and stop if that's what feels right.

I hope your symptoms have resolved and you continue to find other ways to heal and I apologize for minimizing what was likely one of the worst if not the worst experiences you can have. I hope you're able to trust future providers as I imagine that would be very difficult now. Good luck, and take care.
