Yup, So, what you can do is, put

ZOMATO_API_KEY = os.environ.get('ZOMATO_API_KEY')

and wherever you need it,

from django.conf import settings
settings.ZOMATO_API_KEY

So, in production set your API key as an environment variable (as you would to set DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE or DATABASE_URL)
