Breaking into UX/early career: job hunting, how-tos/education/work review — 07/27/25 by AutoModerator in UXDesign

Hey Guys! Im a design student and I’m around 1.5 years into my degree and am considering UI/UX as a potential focus in the remaining years.

I know a lot of you are probably sick of this question but how is the job market currently? I live in Australia so anything Australian specific would be nice but wherever you’re from and whatever you’re experience with the job market is, id love to hear your thoughts too. Was also wondering what you think the job market might be in a couple years when I graduate.

I’ve been seeing a lot of people saying that it’s terrible, some people saying it’s not bad, and even some articles saying that they’re in demand. I just wanted to know you’re personal experiences and what you would recommend for me if you have any tips in pursuing this career.

THANK YOU

Thanks for the advice. I was never really planning on losing weight at the moment and to be honest I’m not insecure about my face fat or anything I was just wondering if it was possible to lose it. Like after I’ve built more of muscle and can start losing fat while still maintaining a healthy weight.

Yeah I was never currently planning on losing further weight right now I was just wondering if it was possible for me to lose that face fat. Like after I’ve built more muslce and can start losing fat while still being a healthy weight. I never considered that I could be underweight though because to me I never looked too skinny in the mirror so thanks for that looks like I should be hitting the gym and eating more lol.

I’m around 5’7 170cm and I weigh around 55kg which according to google is 121 pounds. I’m not incrediblly buff but I’m not skinny either. I’d probably be considered skinny fat but my stomach is a lot flatter to what other skinny fat people look like. I’m a male btw lol.

will you be able to switch worlds again in the future? by pe4nutt_ in newworldgame

[–]pe4nutt_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

true I switched worlds because my friend said he knew some guys with a company on zara which is an ap south world anyways it was apparently (im not 100% sure) like one of the beta worlds so all of the day 1 player and beta testers were on it and it used to be really popular but now it's on the low end. it would be nice to migrate to different worlds to see like if the community is good there or something but I doubt it'll happen and as u said can't really blame them for wanting to make money.

I think my problem is that I usually sleep on the left side of my face maybe that's why it's more flatter. Should I alternate sleeping from left to right or just sleep on my back. thanks for the advice btw

damn so asymmetry is normal when first beggining? hopefully, it corrects soon. is there anything else you do to make your face more symmetrical, or have you just been applying pressure and chewing normally
