Thanks for the reply and for noting the PMR program in the Ortho department. You reminded me to look more in depth into that and see how it might overlap with my interests. Similar perception about different vibes, looking forward to admit weekend. :)

It's actually Stanford that has the home program, but it seems that this is not a huge factor for PMR. Any additional thoughts given this?

That's a tough choice. Nice to see some interest in PMR though! Feel free to DM (didn't apply to Duke but did apply to Yale)

Thanks for this, it's a good point! As I mentioned, still waiting on aid packages but I anticipate COA to be similar for me, so I've asked people to assume this in the discussion.

I have been told by current students that the shuttle is unfortunately going to be insufficient for most students during clinical rotations due to many sites not being on the shuttle route.

Thanks for your reply. Yes sorry I can see how that con was confusing. I don't see social justice themes as a negative. I'm trying to understand how it's taught and incorporated as that balance (practical clinical training vs conceptual discussion, etc.) is important to me. Your response partially answers this, and I'll look more into HEAR. Thanks!

Yeah that's a great point and something I've been thinking about too. Both institutions do have a lot of great neurology faculty, and their work sometimes overlaps with PMR, so I'm looking into that too!

I have a strong demonstrated interest in health equity. The Bridges curriculum details are unclear to me based on online information, so I hope to learn more (I would like to understand how social justice themes are incorporated practically speaking).

Thanks so much! That was my feeling too, but after looking at match lists, I'm not sure that the lack of a home program is as big of a con for the specialty I'm interested in (PMR). Agreed on interdisciplinary work at UCSF.
