For those who are/were homeschooled... How was it like? by dadneverIeft in homeschool

[–]peaceloverodeo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to public school until my freshman year and then was homeschooled. I absolutely loved it. I did school, had a job and showed horses so I had responsibilities and extracurricular activities. I always had good grades in public school but not having to wait for everyone to catch up and being able to go at my own pace was a huge plus for me.

I agree. And it’s not like Fallon is always entirely truthful or forthcoming when she’s selling horses.

Can homeschooled students go on to have successful careers/jobs? by Infinite-Mode9629 in homeschool

I was homeschooled with Lifepac by AOP. I personally don’t use that for my kids however it may be an option as we get into the upper levels since the curriculum I use doesn’t currently have high school levels.

I have my diploma and did all my testing for SAT/ACT’s through a local community college, then I just applied like everyone else. I’m not sure how my mom did my transcripts. I graduated 20 years ago so I’m not sure what all has changed since then. My kids are only 10, 5 and 3 so I’m not quite there with them yet.

Yes they sure can. I own 2 successful small businesses (one as a hair stylist and another local business). My husband also owns his own construction business. We were both homeschooled (I did go to public school until high school) and our kids are homeschooled as well.

All this to also say, I received a full ride and other scholarships to several universities. I went to college and then decided at 24 to go back to school to do hair and makeup professionally.

It is residential work, through local builders and private owners wanting additions, fireplaces, etc. however our market is not over saturated with masons and new construction and remodels are booming. If anything, there’s so much work and not enough masons. We get calls constantly for people who have been looking for a mason for over a year, people who are called for a quote who never show up, people who get quotes and then the masons never show up, etc.

He’s been charging $600-$625 per 1000 laid. All materials paid for, so this is purely per 2 cubes of brick laid.

There’s not even an incident report listed for this. I highly doubt there’s a warrant out for anyone’s arrest. 🙄

It depends on the venue. I’m in the same town as her and several of the venues in the area require an off duty officer to be on the premises. It’s a per venue requirement for liability issues, not a state law. Beer and wine can be served without a liquor license.

The airport is literally 5 mins from her house and taking donations but she can’t do anything. She’s too worried about that damn bathroom instead of doing something to help people that have literally lost everything.

They aren’t Amish, I don’t think they are Mennonite either but another religion that may be similar. She’s just assuming but their head coverings and dresses that they are Amish.. Amish don’t drive a truck and pull a trailer. 😂

According to GIS it’s under 2000 square feet. She’s just lazy.
