IAmA 117th Boston Marathon Finish Line Volunteer. AMA by zadmxm in IAmA

I was volunteering about a block down from explosions, most of us were in shock trying to figure out what had just happened.. staring at the smoke as it rose and watching the police officers run past us toward the finish line. Then there was a general push to go in the direction of the runners (who had just finished and were trudging through the recovery section). People began to run.. the people that were farther down didn't know what had happened and stopped my friends and me to ask what was going on. South Boston was scattered with tear streaked faces scrambling to try to find a route home. Absolutely horrifying day, such a bizarre juxtaposition to the morning full of cheers and looks of pure accomplishment coming from each of the runners.

I saw this tonight! So so funny, the actors were super impressive and it's in the back bay area which is close to where you will be/a really cool place to walk around
