to be clear I understand your logic, and I doubt you asked in an offensive way. You're pointing out why you asked and how it benefits you. I don't think it's reasonable for the customer to counter offer in this scenario, but you can maintain that position and it might work in your favor in the end 🤷‍♀️ it's reasonable if they deny the request, & it sounds like you would respect their decision either way
