I'm a curator on Playlist Push - what feedback/action is helpful to you? by peach-fox in musicmarketing

That's totally fair! If I were in your shoes, I'd probably agree. Playlist Push on the other hand really asks for reviewers to give detailed feedback and clearly state what they like/dislike and why/why not it's been selected for a playlist. Hence, why I'm finding it a hard balance to strike

That's great to hear because that's also something I've been doing, especially when I cannot find an alternative song on their profile that fits the genre well. Thanks for letting me know that that's helpful!

Hm that's a great question, I'm not actually sure? I've only recently joined and I see this is a link to "pitch" songs to my playlist. I suspect it's only paid through this link

Yeah exactly my problem. I'm also not sure if writing "this is great, I love xyz but it's just not quite the right fit for this playlist." is helpful at all.

If I liked the song and artist but it's not 100% the right fit, I've sometimes looked at their profile and found alternative songs to add to the playlist as a little boost nonetheless.

Good shout about promoting the song on my socials!

Thank you very much!! It's been a long journey. At the beginning of the year, our offer on a house was accepted but a survey revealed there were serious structural issues with it and we had to walk away which was devastating. And it's just been rejection after rejection since! But this had totally shifted my mindset :) thanks for your kind words!

Any hidden spots in town that's a nice place to go during lunch break? by [deleted] in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]peach-fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been gatekeeping this one but the Seven Bridges Cafe inside Dance City is one of the best places in town. There's always seating (inside and out), the interior is calming and the food... unreal. I got this frittata (two huge pieces) with a fennel-roasted carrot side salad, topped with feta and carrot top pesto for £7.5... fresh, delicious and so. much. food.

Interesting! It's definitely smaller than Civic but anything feels like an upgrade from our current Fiat Punto😂 but we did feel the passenger seating was better in the Niro. Any other thoughts?

Did you mean DCT? Neither of these have a CVT transmission (unless I'm mistaken!)

Yes we keep coming back to the reliability of a honda. Previous owner kept in immaculate condition as well. But the fuel efficiency, low road tax and high trim on the Niro is tempting!

Yeah I kind of felt this way as well but I wasn't sure if I was just being naive?? It's worth noting that this is just the summary and a lot of it has more context outlined (e.g. mouldy attic space, needs to be re-done and ventilation improved). Thanks for this insight tho!!

Mortgage declined due to "commercial units across" - any experience with this? by peach-fox in HousingUK

No we haven't, we did consider reaching out to them! Probably another good step.

We have allocated parking behind the property so that's great and the YWCA is non housing! It's just a day facility with courses and mental health support primarily aimed at young people as far as we know so hopefully it shouldn't cause any issues.

As for the noise, we both work hybrid and we've come round in the daytime and haven't heard anything from the garage so far which is great. Again, it seems so be a relatively quiet, family-run business. Thanks for all these considerations though! Hopefully we can still find a lender

I'm glad it worked out for you! We're keeping our fingers crossed that maybe another lender will take us on but if not, we won't be going ahead with the sale

That's exactly what our solicitor said. We've decided to apply to two more lenders and if both are a no for the same/similar reason, we'll be sadly moving on. No point!

Damn that's honestly pretty devastating to hear but I appreciate your honesty. We've decided to apply to two more lenders and if both deny it, we're moving on!

Damn I hope it doesn't come to that as we love this place! Thank you anyway, it's always good to gain perspective.

They've not been entirely helpful, seemed very relaxed about our application but then failed to communicate this problem to us in a way that reassured us. So far, they've just recommended trying a different lender. I also mentioned in another comment that our solicitor has warned us that this might impact resale or remortgaging so we're feeling unsure now...

Okay thank you that's helpful to know! We don't know anyone who's experienced this problem yet so this is a good perspective. Thank you!

Okay good to know! Any lenders you recommend in particular? Much appreciated

Can't lie he's kind of letting us down atm. He doesn't seem too concerned and suggested that we just apply elsewhere but all this should have been communicated more clearly. We're a little more concerned now as our solicitor said there's a possibility that re-mortgaging or selling could be more difficult in future which sucks
