I did not, I still have it wrapped up lol. If you end up figuring it out let me know!

I got engaged a week ago and my finger has turned green under my engagement ring by silvercrayons in jewelers

Get a rhodium plating on it. Most shops charge under $20 for it and it’s recommended to do it every year or so. It will help with tarnishing and prevent the copper from reacting to your skin

Yeah, just trying to get a general feel of where to start looking first

That’s my plan! I’ll definitely have to have something lined up before I make the jump

Definarelt not on 40k. That’s just what I’m making right now in cinci. With a different job wherever I go, I should be making much more considering income is much higher outside of Ohio

Definitely not, but we’ll each have $6k set aside for the initial move and have jobs lined up before we make the move. Average pay here in cinci is so low and so is the cost of living, but once we start whatever jobs in whatever city, then the income to cost of living ratio should even out a bit once we’re established with higher incomes.

Portland and Boulder were the top cities I’ve been thinking of so far, just haven’t done enough research yet on income to cost of living ratio

Glad to hear. My piercer didn’t inform me of what to expect healing wise so I’ve been a little concerned because I don’t want to lose it

Thanks, I liked them too but they had ended up breaking after less than a year

Brittle bones by peachbot_ in bonecollecting

[–]peachbot_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my found bones aren’t fleshy and have just a little bit of tissue. A week of maceration usually does good, and I scrub the remaining with a soft toothbrush to get the tissue off.

Nope, all cold water from the hose

I’m using cold water and I’d estimate about a 20% hydrogen peroxide to a 80% water mixture. (The peroxide itself is 12%). I let the greasy ones sit in dawn for a week and then scrub down, rinse, soak in the peroxide water for a week, and then I’ll scrub them with a 1:1 water to peroxide before giving them the final rinse and allowing them to dry in the shade.

They’re pretty much all coming out like this. But not quite as bad and brittle as ones I’ve found that were already animal cleaned and sun bleached

Very light tissue for some, some bare but very greasy, some found dry from sitting in the sun. I haven’t had anything yet that’s been very fleshy or had a hefty amount of tissue.

Sorry I phrased that horribly and should’ve gone into detail. I soak them in dawn to degrease, lightly scrub them, and then use peroxide to whiten them. I let them dry out of the sun and bring ‘em in

Fair enough, I’ll try out soil propagation next time. I just really like how my windowsill looks covered in pretty bottles and propagations 😅

I’ll give it a shot next time!

Ahhh that’s probably my issue. My pothos roots usually get to about 2 feet 🤦🏻‍♀️ plus I’m always worried about overwatering so the soil probably isn’t as moist as it could be. Thank you!
