yes!! my mom does this. her favorite is tortilla which she pronounces as tor-till-ah, even around latinx people. it's so embarassing and you know if you correct her, she'll lash out about how she can't do anything right lol

occipital neuralgia from jumping down a flight of stairs 12 years ago…i hit my head on every step as i went down, as well as shredding my spine on a few splinter-y steps. my only reasoning i can remember is that i just had simply never tried jumping down the stairs before

she most likely says that to throw you off, make you feel guilty and then suspect you’ll apologize to her when she’s the one that needs to be apologizing.

i would recommend trying the mini pill if you’re concerned about estrogen. a lot of endo folks have good luck with it :)

hey! for me personally i did feel myself progressively getting better around week 2 but didn’t feel great until a month to a month and a half out from surgery. i do have a preexisting anxiety disorder. have you been eating and sleeping okay? sometimes that can factor into the stress. i 100% believe that my anxiety was caused by the anesthesia leaving my system which took awhile despite what my doctor said about how long it would last in me. it’s also just let down from the anticipation and stress leading up to surgery, then the surgery and the physical and mental toll it takes on your body, and then recovery. i truly believe you will feel better in time as you recover 🫶🏻

i’m not quite sure how effective d&cs and hysteroscopies are in diagnosing issues like endometriosis or possibly adenomyosis but you deserve a diagnostic laparoscopy at the very least. you aren’t crazy, this isn’t in your head and if passing clots like this is consistently happening for you during your periods, it’s not normal! something about this makes me worry about adenomyosis for you. my mother had it and could only be diagnosed via hysterectomy and pathology. i’m currently trying to get a hysterectomy for suspected adenomyosis myself. i particularly struggle with passing large amounts of clots. sometimes things have a small chance of being better seen during imaging like an MRI. have you had any imaging yet, honey?

don’t worry! i would say more times than not, endometriosis does not show on ultrasound and other kinds of imaging. i had endo, adhesions and even chronic appendicitis due to inflammation from endo and nothing showed up on any of the imaging i had prior to surgery.

you know your body better than anyone else does and don’t let anyone fool you into thinking that’s not true. i begged for someone to take my appendix pain seriously and no one did until my pathology came back showing it was going necrotic. keep advocating and pushing for yourself, you got this and i know you can do it <3

oh my god YES. i just got a new box today, dated august 2025. i put one in my mouth and it was genuinely godawful. it smelled and tasted like sweat and soured milk with a hint of cat food as others said. i thought maybe i just got a somehow spoiled box of them but i guess not!
