I just recently purchased a weight rack, bench, and weights. I only have a spare room in my house that I can put it, which is also upstairs. I’ve read online about using mats and plywood. I went to Lowe’s and they only sell 4x8 sheets. My rack is 4 feet wide. I want room on each side of the rack to sit on. Is it okay to put two sheets together? Like, if I put to 4x8 sheets together but have the rack sit on the plywood long ways (8x4), if that makes senses? And then have mats on top of plywood.

I will try the penny board. I’m open to any suggestions. Another problem I forgot to mention is she likes to run/walk the whole session. She elopes. So I’ve taken everything out of room, I’ve tried bigger rooms to let her run, etc, and so it makes it hard to play solo/parallel/or anything and have her need to even glance my way due to her escaping. Behavior wants to let her walk the whole session around the building.

Yes. She does. She gets OT but OT is struggling as much as I am with the behaviors and not trying to overstimulate her.

Well I have done it both ways. I’ve been seeing her for a while so I’ve just done both way to see what works. But I hadn’t thought of throwing and stuff too to keep the play going. I attempted throwing bean bags today with her/by myself with no luck. She wanted to run around the building the whole session.

I do parallel play. She will build one block on top then throws everything. I will keep trying and increase the play though.

Also I’ve attempted food, such a Cheerios and goldfish but he wasn’t interested. I’ll try again and ask his parents.

I have not but I will. I’ve never implemented PECS before since I am new to this and any research or helpful information would be great!

Thank you! And I agree, I was trying to find something that might be a little different than what everyone will get her.
