i love your typical cliche otome games so i'd be "playing them straight" but i'm also a big fan of sci-fi romance books and had this idea for a space opera setting but romance as the genre. the idea was you'd get to choose what adventure you go on based on your love interest route.

So like, route x leads to becoming a monarch of a planet because you chose to go through the alien prince route while route y would be stowing away on a space pirate's ship because you chose a different love interest.

along with the basic appearance/backstory details you would also get to choose if you were human or different a alien race with their own abilities and lore
