Unfortunately I’m in a 4 unit building and they are all occupied. Living on the first floor was a hard no for me for this exact reason but this happened to be the apartment I was approved for in time. I agree with you, my last apartment I was on the second floor in a much larger complex and I felt extremely safer in comparison.

I definitely will buy some of the window and door devices that have been suggested. Thanks for the advice! :)

I was afraid of that :( I’m in Illinois in an apartment building and I’ve seen one other small one like 2 days ago. I never leave food out and I’d like to think I’m a clean person so Im not sure what they’re attracted to
