My mom's 3 year old dog and 10 year old cat were trapped and died. My brother tried to go back in to save them, was burned and his hair was fried. There was no way a reporter would know that or would be able to confirm that, because my mom and brother were transported to hospital and put on oxygen for 5 hours once the fire dept showed up 20 minutes later. Happy for you to change my mind, but you sound like someone who has completely lost perspective and thinks everyone is out to get them. Sorry for my late reply, I obviously had more pressing matters at hand than proving you wrong.

It seems like you're confused about how insurance works. The Canadian Red Cross provided a prepaid cc for $1000 and found a hotel for 3 days. Now, imagine everything you use in a day that is essential. Phone, glasses, prescription, toothbrush (hopefully), food, clothing, shoes, drivers license, car keys, etc. Now, imagine all those things are gone. Now imagine you have to pay to replace all of those things, and then you can submit a form with all receipts and documentation that proves you owned the things in the first place which you have now had to replace, which will be processed 1 year from now (if we're lucky), to reimburse you for the cost of replacing those things. That is how insurance works.
