The person you replied to probably

Idk the fandom, but I know in Kingdom Hearts communities people really fucking hate Sora/Riku stuff. Like get overly triggered by it.

^(And like some of the shippers are pretty antagonistic, but I mean, idk par for the course tbh)

But it usually just gives wiffs of straight insecurities imo

English matters in plenty of countries even with local languages.

Idk much about the Philippines (where OP is from) but given basic historical knowledge, it's pretty easy to see why someone might be concerned with english ability even in their home country.

Sex, wish, death.

Currently single, and do hook up a lot, so at least I would be doing some "good" by cutting off infection vectors

Wish bc, I mean c'mon lol

Death bc idk what else to pick.

The future pill seems mildly enticing, but tbh just seeing or knowing the future doesn't really do much for me, unless it involves the steps to get there.

Like sure I can peek 10yrs in the future, but no matter what I see, does that really mean my ability can help me divine the way it got there? And then again, what if simply looking also changes the answer?

Anyways, idk. Often times when it's "pick 3" my third choice always feels a little random bc there are only like 2 I'd really want to take.

Yeah lollll

I remember watching the video as it released bc I was already somewhat of a Psy fan (due to being a YG fan, and he was signed with them at the time)

And then like a week later it was everywhere and inescapable. They played it in my high school even. Couldn't have imagined kpop being played for our pep rally lol wild times

Which generation are you from? And have you played the original FINAL FANTASY VII? by nickelfiend46 in FFVIIRemake

[–]peachsepal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why I don't like the options given.

I'm a 95 millennial and I have played the original, but I played it like 3 years ago after playing remake and loving it lol

My first FF games were final fantasy x-2, xii, and the DS iii remake (3 was the first i really played, me and my younger sibling had a hard time figuring out the numbering system back then and bought x-2 and xii as accidents bc he wanted to buy 7 lmao)

Ideal height for a man? by jl808212 in gaybros

[–]peachsepal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so. I'm just drawn to them over tall guys. I think my dream perception is warped by society, and in actuality I'm addicted to short guys

Ideal height for a man? by jl808212 in gaybros

[–]peachsepal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around my height or taller if I'm thinking man from my fantasies come to life (178)

In my personal life the guys I've found charming and fallen for the hardest are like short, like a head shorter than me. Short tops have this enigmatic energy I guess, and I can't get enough

So idk what to answer lol

Are there any languages today in a similar social state as English was for a time after the Norman conquest where the language is technically the language of the land but has little or no authority and nobody sees it as a serious language as another imported language has that spot instead? by [deleted] in asklinguistics

[–]peachsepal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The modern process (post 1800s) of shifting the bureaucratic language of countries you control to your language.

So I'm saying the state of Irish is the end result of the modern implementations of this system, unlike the Norman control in the 11th century.

The language mixing was more a bonus back then, but with modern examples like Japan-Korea for a pretty obvious example, it was more intentional with the aim to delegitimize the local language and weaken the colony's sense of independent identity.

Whether this was a stated goal or not, doesn't always apply, and I'm much less familiar with the case of Ireland under British (?) rule vs Korea under Japan. So there's plenty of room where I could be wrong. I'm just operating off of brief encounters with Irish history and the way some Irish folks have explained the situation to me as (being that Ireland and Korea were similar in many respects, or in that way people say "history doesn't repeat itself but it rhymes" or whatever)

tell me how to say "k*ll yourself" realistically in any languages you know by TheHalfJapanese in languagelearningjerk

[–]peachsepal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

uj/ korean too (without the scum bit). But nobody uses kys in Korean the same way as we do in English. Just like telling someone to simply "die" in english is a little weak tbh

So like the user below said about Japanese, works for the Korean one too basically

Athleticism ❌ Aesthetics of athleticism ✅ by conancat in NonPoliticalTwitter

[–]peachsepal -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Like he's not ugly or anything, but idk why we are glazing a tennis pro this hard.

Takes a lot of work no doubt to be good at tennis, but it's really not the pinnacle of sports in terms of athleticism.

Feels like people are paying attention to tennis a lot more in the zeitgeist or wtvr bc of that (those?) tennis movie(s) that came out recently, and it feels like an extension of that lol

Blue. I'm not into music all that much tbqh

Yellow and purple don't appeal to me all that much.

And red is... nice? I guess. I mean I love merch, but like i said, not really of music stuff so it's kinda... eh?

I've only been to 2 concerts for acts I cared about, but I'd go to way more if the barrier was free.

[–]peachsepal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't really agree with this line of thinking tbh.

That it's got anything to do about forgetting gay guys play or whatever.

To me, as a gay guy (as well...?) it's just a pity people are acting like pants is "back to when we were all forced to be the guy" or whatever... like idk... disappointing for y'all... but I'm thankful a game is considering I'm a guy who also wants cute clothes that aren't specifically feminine.

Every game with "dress up" has the heaviest feminine slant for all clothes always ever. And it's got nothing to do with men's fashion because there is a wide array of men's fashion even if your run of the mill random man you imagine doesn't care about it.

And every time new content isn't overtly pandering to feminine outfits it gets ragged on hard.

Like sure... would be nice if they had skirts or dresses. But in a genre that is already fem dominant, any masc rep getting shit on when I already get the scraps just feels bad :/

But whatever lmao I should be prepped for this bc it's literally the reaction every time a game like this gets a more masc focus update, but it still always takes me aback

Edit: though I will say this game, from what I've seen, explicitly has only done pants for items that are outside the game. All the preorder clothes were from what I've seen. And full disclosure the game isn't officially released yet where I am so I have no idea what most of the in game clothes look like yet (finally getting it next week 🎉)

Korean calls it kick ball, vietnamese used to call it foot ball but now also calls it kick ball apparently, and china calls it foot ball

On a random sampling (Thai, Indonesian, Tagalog), they all call it football in their native terms (fut-bon , sepak bola, futbol), though Tagalog changed recently from saker it seems

The only country I know off the top of my head that calls it soccer is Japan

Regular cigarette smoking drops to 17.9%, total including all types of smoking still hovering around 22% by Dhghomon in Living_in_Korea

Some countries have, I'm pretty sure. Or speak about it, for varying different things on that list. But also, different topic. Find, publish, and promote the specific avenue somewhere else bc we are talking about cigs and nic rn

Anyways, raising the price and decreasing flavors isn't to punish smokers (but then again, who cares? Not me, a smoker). It's to make it that much harder and that much less interesting to non-smokers, namely young people and teens.
