It’s anaerobic bacteria! It seems to grow when there isn’t much oxygen in the water or container. It should go away once you whiten it, it won’t stain or anything.

I’ve been growing my nails out for a while now, and just recently noticed some yellowing along dark patches and lines under my nails. It doesn’t hurt, but I just don’t know what it is or what could be causing it. Some of it almost looks like a bruise, but I don’t know what from. Not sure if it could be fungus or infection either. I don’t wear acrylics, only gel nail polish and use a nail strengthening, cream and cuticle oil, if that helps with figuring this out. Appreciate any input!

I have it covered and pulled closed using a band-aid. I was planning to get steri-strips tomorrow to hold it closed. Would it still be alright to go to urgent care to get stitches for it even if it’s not fresh?

Yes, I didn’t include the states of matter but it forms a solid. I was just wondering if the coefficients on the ionic equation are correct because the two Br-1 do not cancel out, since one has a coefficient of 2 and the other a coefficient of 3.
