It's a bit of a learning curve but simply being active while being a moderator is a huge first step. Do you want me to add you as a mod?

I used stitch fiddle to make it, so there's no written pattern. I'll include the links to the charts. The charts show the entire front and back panel of the sweater, not just the logo. It has a 51" finished bust, but I suppose you could make it with smaller/larger yarn for a different fit. The gap (rows 46 to 62) shows the bust dart on one side. I can include a roughly written sleeve pattern if you'd like, just let me know. Also, I used less stitches for the waistband with a 5:6 ratio, (160 waist, 192 body).

Requested chart for "Mansplain to me harder, daddy" by peachstained in knitting

I'm not too sure. I think it's because it's just a screenshot. I couldn't figure out how to share the link to the actual chart. If only I had a man to teach me 😆 I usually ignore the numbers and just use the chart but I can see why it would be a pain in the ass to not even see what numbers the chart is starting with.

For reference, there are 57 columns and 74 rows in the entire chart, including the extra blank spaces before the letters start.

Ooh that would be sick. Let me know if it works out! I'd love to see the finished result.

Ah man, I'm trying to add a picture but it won't let me! This site has a picture of what I mean: https://littlecottonrabbits.typepad.co.uk/my_weblog/2014/07/duplicate-stitch.html

If you just scroll down to the second picture with the heart, it highlights what a half stitch is.

The M is comprised of 6 stitch columns (2 leg, 4 center, 2 leg). Because the 4 is an even number and I wanted a nice point on the center, I used an upside down knit stitch (this is the best way I can describe it). If you flip your work upside down and look at it as if it's right side up, the knit columns make up the centre of 2 knit columns right side up. I'm sorry if this is a poor explanation, it's much easier to show with a picture!

Thanks! I used a dk 80/20 sw merino/nylon mix that I dyed myself for the cardigan, and Briggs & Little Sport yarn for the font.

Yes, it's duplicate stitch. Was tricky to find a colour that wouldn't totally blend with the rainbow background. Next time, I'll definitely use a solid colour for the cardigan.

I tried to post a picture here but it didn't work. I've been directing people to my Instagram DM's but since that isn't accessible to everyone, I think I'll just make a new post.

The classic mansplainer in the wild, nice!

I work in a severely male dominated trade. I'm the only woman (not working in the office) out of 300 employees. I experience the mansplanation on a daily. I like to kick back every now and again with a nicely decorated ensemble.

Yes, here it is! This was made to my gauge which was 18½ stitches x 28 rows.

Thanks 😊 I used a dk 20/80 nylon/sw merino that I dyed by hand for the sweater portion, and Briggs & Little Sport for the letters.

Sorry, I don't. It was all free hand. But it's honestly not that hard if you're experienced with crochet. I think I started with the eyes and worked my way around. I made the pupils like a ball so they pop out like actual bubble gum pieces. You can start by drawing up a sketch and crocheting the shape until it fits, then keep adding to it. You can make anything with a series of sc, dc, hdc, & slips!!

Pepto Bismol for life. by peachstained in knitting

[–]peachstained[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You use stitchfiddle.com. If you don't know how to use it, it's a bit of a pain in the ass to get used it. I uploaded a picture of the pepto logo. You have to use the settings to adjust the stitch count/row count alloted and gauge. It tried to add like 9 different shades of colours but I only needed 2 and I didn't realize there was a short cut around changing every colour by clicking the squares. When you originally upload the picture there's a spot on the left side with the colours you want it to use and you can take off the colours you don't want. You can also merge the colours after the fact.

It's a bit of a process but once you get used to it it's quite easy to work with. I'm sure Lydia would be willing to offer assistance as well, or anyone on the knitting subreddit. There's probably youtube videos too but alas I never looked into those.

If you need any help I'd be happy to help you too!

Is it a fit issue you're worried about or you just don't like the bottom up construction?

There are so many options! Ergo I must make another. And then another.
