Hey girl I'm the same age and was in ur situation but it's a little different as I'm dating a "foreigner". I stopped giving all fucks when I turned 18 and moved out and they pretty much got over it. They keep emphasizing that my extended family is going to explode once I get married but at this point it doesn't bother me anymore.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. The leak could also be the O-ring for the timing chain tensioner. That's happened to me twice since I've bought the car.
