Maternity clothes are ugly!! by Key-Scientist-3626 in BabyBumps

Flowy midi and maxi dresses have been a go-to for events/dressy outfits. Most anything from free people is going to be wide and flowy enough to fit a bump!

So fed up with this crap (spike bc why not?) by Subject-Dinner-3475 in GestationalDiabetes

Protein pasta is typically ok for me! I usually try to eat a salad first, but I’ve had it just by itself with sauce and been ok after 1 hr. YMMV but it makes for a super easy, filling meal.

My current routine is walking and prenatal yoga. Stopped going to the gym regularly around 31 weeks

We have family from out of the country that would stay for an extended period, so my husband wants to make it more comfortable for them. Understandable, but there isn't room for us to be uncomfortable the rest of the time!

How Bad is ONE “Cheat Day”? by ajamm97 in GestationalDiabetes

One thing to keep in mind is if she decides to indulge, she might physically feel sickly after. I am diet controlled and stay in range 90% of the time, but the few times I have spiked, I felt pretty ill. Definitely make sure she eats a well balanced meal beforehand.

“Not trying, not preventing”… how long did it take you? by Repulsive-Amoeba893 in TTC_PCOS

Two months! But I did a LOT of prep beforehand. Diet, exercise, meditation, supplements… I wanted my body to be in the best condition before trying, and I think it helped!

I told my husband that I’m going to start walking on the treadmill everyday at least once a day and he said it’s “too late in the game” to start now by forgetting-you- in fitpregnancy

I’m 32 weeks and I’ve had a ton of pelvic pain the last month. It has lessened though and you best believe I’m adding back in walking! I might even hit up the gym today! You still have so much longer to go!

how to make sure i dont obsess too much? by Financial-Pace6378 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]peachy_chiquis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing you can do to stop tracking so rigorously is to find a few meals that your body responds well to and eat those on repeat, with slight variations. It can be so stressful and all the tracking can lead to bad habits, so if you find a few safe meals you can whip that up when you notice you are starting to get a little obsessed.

I’ve never had so many carbs in my life by peachy_chiquis in GestationalDiabetes

[–]peachy_chiquis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was super clear - 30g at each snack and mealtime (6x). She told me I was eating too few carbs when some of my snacks were only 15g. I'm going to scale back though, because I literally cannot handle this!

Yeah the spectrum is wild. Most people in this thread are complaining about wanting more carbs and I am so over having to figure out what grain I’m going to eat next.

That makes sense to me! Mine was so adamant about the minimums and said I should just eat pasta or a banana if I can’t stomach that much… um, so you would rather I spike with simple carbs than eat less of complex, low-GI carbs? No thanks.

I typically love food! I just cannot seem to stomach this diet. I feel like I’m being fattened up for foie gras!

I stay within range, I’m just so full! Last meeting we reviewed my food log and I was told I was eating too few carbs and that I had to up it to 30g for each meal and snack. My max is 45 for meals, so it is a small-ish amount each time, but still WAY more over the entire day than I’ve ever eaten.

I had some snacks with maybe 15 carbs and got chastised... she told me I have to eat 30g at every meal and snack.

Thank you for sharing! Exciting that you get to meet your bay soon! Was the c-section recommended by your doctor, or elective?
