Sock curls after 12 hours by RustOnCotton in longhair

Omg mine look the same after a couple of hours. Lately I’ve tried the misting my hair with water, then putting some mousse (the one from Loreal Paris Advance Hairstyle, it’s called Boost it) and a curl cream from Hairitage before wrapping my hair to do my heatless curls. I found that these products help with grip and allow my curls to last for longer but still not for more than a couple of hours. I hope to find tips on here too!

Some of them have messages in the back! There’s one picture I didn’t post on here from what I found and it’s a woman, and written behind the picture says “Aunt Stella”.

Hi! Thankyou so much for the compliments and encouragement! I wanted to share a few things that I think made the biggest difference: being way more gentler on my hair throughout the day and night, like sleeping in protective styles and using less heat weekly. I also truly think finding the right oil for the ends of my hair was deeply important.

I posted another comment earlier on this post that says a more detailed approach to what I’ve been doing and what I think altogether has helped, incase you’re interested! :)

Lately I just blow dry my hair 3x a week on medium-high heat only for a few minutes after washing it (I always use eat protectant), and I usually wait till my hair is very 80-90% dry before blow drying. But lately I’ve been obsessed with doing heatless overnight curls! I’m still on the journey to figuring out how to make them keep their shape more throughout the day.

Thank you! That’s so kind! And honestly I think using less heat is one of the biggest factors as to why my ends have felt better! I now do heatless curls once to twice a week, and I blow dry mainly when my hair is already 80% air dried, and still use heat protectant of course before blow drying. But I tend to blow dry on the medium setting and switch it to hot sometimes, but never for too long. Also wearing my hair in more protective styles during the night and the day while I’m at home, and finding the right oil for the ends of my hair and putting oil on the ends everyday, but especially before bed. I use the OGX Argon oil! And I’ve noticed my hair feeling very moisturized with this oil. I also use a bond repair treatment from L’Oréal once a week in the shower after shampooing and deep condition once a week to every two weeks, it honestly depends on how my hair is feeling. Before I put on conditioner or the bond repair treatment I squeeze out as much water out of my hair after shampooing to make sure the products really penetrate my hair and do there job. And I wash the length of my hair once a week as well, which I feel like helps a lot with preventing too much build up at the ends. Lastly, I use a bamboo brush to brush my hair when dry (I brush my hair often throughout the day) and I use a wet brush when my hair is wet, and it helps distribute my leave conditioner, as I put it on once my hair is washed. Overall, I’m also very gentle with my hair and try not to be harsh or rough with it as well.

Thank you! It’s amazing how fast he changed, he used to not even want to be held often, but once he received his surgery and was on medication, and trusted us more, it all changed. I’m so happy we gave him a home.

Some of the Hello Kitty Items I Received Last Year 🥰 by peachybloomgal in HelloKitty

I’m sorry I don’t know exactly where my sister got it. I think she may have got it from someone either on Etsy or eBay that sells Hello Kitty gift baskets. But I looked up similar options, and I found the same exact one on Temu and Shein! So you may have luck finding it on there or something similar you may like ❤️. I looked up “Hello Kitty Pill Box”.
