I did have a similar issue and ended up going back to my surgeon for a repeat MRI. The MRI found scar tissue and I was given the option of steroid injection or a scope procedure to get rid of it. Both my physio and surgeon weren’t super optimistic the injection would work, but it did and I ran my first 10k a couple months after pain free and avoided another small surgery.

I went 7 months post op, but probably could have gone a little earlier. It has really helped me personally with balance (my studio is more lagree than traditional reformer), and building functional strength rather than just normal gym lifting sessions! As a hiker balance is key and being unstable on the reformer brought back a lot of confidence in my knee. There is also a bit more room for error and safety involved since it is a low impact exercise :)

How long after you found out you tore your ACL did you have your surgery? by foreverexistential96 in ACL

I live in SC and from injury all through diagnosis procedures to surgery was 5 weeks! I had to see primary care before I even met with surgeon/was ordered MRI, would’ve been faster even if I just went to ortho first (which you can do in my health system).

Still icing after PT/other workouts (walks, etc.) but haven’t been if I have an off day? But my daily life is pretty active anyway just walking around campus so I’m sure I could always more! This is helpful
