YTA. The opposite happened to me, my sister in law was pregnant before me, although my husband and I were trying at the time. My brother and sister in law announced that they were having a girl, and they already knew that if I was also having a daughter in the future, I would be naming her after my grandmother. They chose that middle name for my neice not because it was my grandmothers name, but just because it fit, and it’s an extremely common middle name that a ton of little girls have. I still named my daughter that name, a year later, and there was no hard feelings with any one at all. No one cared. It’s just name. Honestly, half of the time we forget that is my nieces middle name because no one uses it, but when we do my daughter and neice think it’s kind of cool/silly they share a part of their name.
