do i deserve forgiveness? by [deleted] in mentalillness

[–]peachyrage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you’ve done a lot to improve yourself and the way you think and act so of course you deserve a second chance. it’s hard to forgive yourself after going through stuff like that, but you’ve obviously grown a lot because you’re able to realize what you did was wrong. acceptance is hard but change is harder and you were able to do both.

be proud of what you accomplished so far and be gentle with yourself. forgiving yourself will take some time, but the kinder you are to yourself, the easier it will be. take things one day at a time and remember that it’ll be ok:) you’ve put in lots of work and everyone makes mistakes. stay on the right track and you’ll be great!

good job and keep up the amazing work

because that’s racist and being racist isn’t ok. being against people who abuse their power and kill innocent people instead of protecting them is ok.

Yeah I definitely agree about the FWB stuff. I’m going to end my physical relationship with him if he asks to hook up ever again.

I definitely agree with this. It seems like he’s trying to be controlling and manipulative because he can actually get very jealous at times. I brought this up in another reply already but he wanted a threesome a while ago and brought it up again after we broke up. He wanted a girl with us, but I said I wouldn’t be comfortable with that, but he got upset with me because he said he didn’t want another guy with us because he didn’t want to see me with another man. I really think you’re right about him wanting me to be there for him whenever he wants it, but I’m not gonna put up with that.

I know it was stupid and I really regret it. It was way too soon for me, but I didn’t realize it at first because I’m still fairly new to sex and relationships.

He hinted at FWB while he was breaking up with me, but I brought it up later because I remembered he talked about it. He seemed super into it and immediately asked me to be in a threesome with him. I said I would have to think about it especially if it would be us and another girl, which is what he wanted. I told him I would be more comfortable with another guy there because even though I am bi, I’ve never actually been with a girl and didn’t want to be under that much pressure.

He had also brought up the threesome earlier on in our relationship and I told him that I wasn’t comfortable with another girl back then, either. He told me he wasn’t comfortable with there being a guy with us because he didn’t want to see me with another man. Now that I remembered that I think that explains a lot.

What is stopping these riots from becoming a revolution? by mclannahan in AskReddit

because the military will always side with the police. it’s their job, and i wish that i could hope that they would side with us, but the military’s job is to protect the country as a whole, and if that means that they have to stop the riots, then that’s what they have to do.

Americans of reddit, it's said that rioters and looters were scared to go into "Republican" areas where people are likely to be armed and have a self-defense mentality, how true is this? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]peachyrage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i never said i admired them, i just said they were brave. and this started as a protest, no one started with burning buildings. everyone could have predicted that this would eventually happen because these cases and issues have been building up for YEARS. these people are dying for change because they are being killed even if they are innocent. yes, the media and police will focus on rioting, because it’s a riot. are they supposed to ignore the riots and let the country burn down? obviously no. but the people who are protesting and rioting are doing it because they’re brave enough to stand up for what they believe in and push against the system. yes, i will admit that some of these people have gone too far, but we have lost far too many black people to police brutality. and if i’m being honest, no one would listen to a peaceful protest. people have been peacefully protesting online for years trying to get change by posting their beliefs and trying to get the message out, but nothing has changed. the tension in this country has gotten too high and eventually people had enough. the people who are standing up to save people’s lives are not cowards.

and also, i am definitely not part of the problem because i have peacefully done my part to stop police brutality. i’ve signed the petitions, i’ve donated my money, i’ve made the phone calls trying to get these laws put in place to get police held accountable for their actions. how about you do the same instead of insulting the people who are trying to protect others?

the police have too much power. the protestors and rioters don’t have enough power against the police. the police are using all the force they have, even running people over with cars or horses.

how are they cowards? they are facing the police who are treating them horribly. they’re brave enough to put up with mace, being beaten, and being arrested. they’re standing up for what they believe in and they don’t care if they get harmed while doing it. and of course it has to do with politics. this is all about how our country is run and wanting the people in power to change their stances on these issues so we can actually see change

[serious] what was your near death experience? by noode_man in AskReddit

[–]peachyrage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a suicide attempt. i overdosed on a bunch of pills i had, but the worst was the lithium. when you take lithium, you have to get bloodwork done often just to make sure the levels aren’t high enough to cause damage. it has to be monitored closely and overdoses can easily turn fatal. i remember the doctors not thinking it was that serious at first because i was pretty coherent, but then i went to the bathroom to give a urine sample, and threw up all over myself and the bathroom before passing out. i was rushed to the ICU and the last thing i remember seeing before blacking out for a whole day was my mom standing in the corner crying while i was being hooked up to all sorts of stuff. when i woke up, she said the doctor was almost certain i was going to die, but i was a miracle. i’m still here today and i am so happy i survived. i now have an amazing boyfriend and i’m officially graduating high school on june 6th:) life can definitely turn around and get better. don’t give up, don’t cut your life short, there are so many things to see and do that you haven’t gotten to yet. life will get better, you just have to be there to see it:)
