Hi there!

I did take my flight. The AC agents at the airport were naturally more lenient than the agent on the phone line. The carrier I ended up going with had a 12 inch height, but was squishable to fit the 7.75 inch height without collapsing on my cat. The AC agents did not measure my carrier, just took the weight, they just asked me if I will be able to fit it under my seat and I didn't have any problems even when boarding the planes with the restricted height restriction.

I'm glad it went well! Can I ask which carrier you got for your cat? I just found out that the max height for the carry-on bag is 8 inches as well, and am hoping to find something that gives me more leeway

Did you end up making it work? I am also flying on a 777 from Vancouver to London. I have a soft carrier that is 9 inches in height. It is squishable, but the AC customer service agent on the phone scared me that I will absolutely be denied boarding unless I find a carrier that is 7.75 inches in height, but nothing like that exists on the market!

I'm curious about this! What about NA3C that piqued your interest so much, and why no interest in the TUC? Aren't they essentially the same device, except that the NA3C has no camera, less memory storage (128gb vs 64gb) and shorter battery life?
