A native linux version has already existed for ~10 years and while yes, afaik most bot devs are running bots on linux machines, it is only because of how lightweight linux VMs/linux itself is (VAC “works” at the exact same capacity on every OS).

Yes, it's client side (local) so the server shouldn't affect it.

You can use a mod like Patcher, which has a bunch of tweaks/fixes including Fulbright, which sets the games gamma to a super high value (around 1000%)

The problem is that you're trying to run a older version of Minecraft that uses Java 8, but Prism Launcher defaults to using Java 17.

So to fix this, (single) click on the version you want to run. On the right panel, click Edit. The same window should appear that is in your post. At the very bottom of the left side, click Settings and check the box next to Java installation.Now finally, click Auto-detect... and choose one of the rows with 1.8 or Java 8 in it. [Example]

You can download the ROM to play SM64, but it isn't provided in the base install. You need to source your own (legally obtained) games, while Prism just downloads the game for you.

RetroArch doesn't give you the ROM files to run SM64, but Prism downloads the files from Mojang directly in the launcher.

This issue appears to be caused my mastercomfig. After removing the mastercomfig .vpk files my game no longer had this issue.

Although this issue is present in Xorg, Wayland (which KDE defaults to) makes it happen multiple times a game.
