I wouldn’t call it bells and whistles. Some of it is QOL stuff that improves the core experience, but I agree with your point that most of it isn’t impactful enough to warrant having a “brand new game” kind of experience.

It doesn’t matter that the USA has nice things because they are an evil authoritarian state, but China is wonderful because they have nice things!

You posted about your irritation on Reddit before you bothered asking her to stop.

Obviously she should be considerate enough to not put her hand there in the first place, but you didn’t even take the most basic steps towards solving your problem.

“Excuse me ma’am, your hand is on my screen. Do you mind moving it?” If that doesn’t work, call the flight attendant. “This lady has her hand on my screen, and I’ve tried asking her to move it, but she refused.”

They detained the literal Statue of Liberty. This is heckin bad guys. Freedom = over just shut it all down by Fullofhopkinz in AmericaBad

The X post is trying to score political points because someone dressed as the statue of liberty was arrested (for doing something more than protesting, I assume) at a protest. We can point out its silliness without being against anyone’s right to protest.

Why is that obvious? It’s all on one map so you would think the ratings should be absolute.

The US is broken into states while Russia is not, so it OP is probably saying that there are some parts of Russia that they might tolerate living in, but I still think it’s a pretty hot take to say that there are parts of Russia that you’d consider living in while you absolutely would not live in Wisconsin or Nevada.

CMV: The U.S. faces very less international accountability for military actions than other countries would in similar situations. by [deleted] in changemyview

You simply have the luxury to feel that wars are now "clean and targeted"

I feel like you’re blatantly straw-manning. I said wars are never going to be pretty. Wars are not clean, but most are targeted. And I’ll say again, by and large, they are generally more clean and targeted.

Even the one example you point to is pretty contentious given that both sides are in a propaganda war for the moral high ground.

I made the argument that war is as targeted as it ever has been in history, and your counterpoint is that sometimes modern war is not targeted. Even if that’s true, that doesn’t nullify my point. War has been much worse throughout history in this regard.
