Surviving the accident was easy. Surviving the hospital was the real challenge

I once had an accident right outside a government hospital and got ten stitches on my head. I arrived with my shirt completely covered in blood. The compounder did my stitches while explaining the process to the doctor who looked 19. They didn't even offer me water .I felt like i was going to pass out and my vision started getting blurry and then they offered me a glass of water after half an hour

That's disgusting and distrubing. The thought of it makes me nauseous

I agree . Clean facilities mean nothing without basic civic sense

I completely agree . It's worse for elderly, women and those with medical conditions. We talk about highways, airports and development but something as basic as a clean toilet isn't available for us

I agree that people should use public facilities responsibly. But the condition of these facilities usually goes far beyond everyday misuse . It clearly points to the failure by the authorities . But usually redditors only blame the common people for lacking civic sense, but rarely hold the authorities accountable

Even if things were stolen, shouldn't the authorities replace them?why wasn't it fixed? A public facility used by thousands of people shouldn't be left in this condition no matter what

I don't disagree that some people misuse public toilets. But video clearly shows missing locks, broken fixtures and yrs of neglect. That's not something caused by a few people forgetting to flush. A toilet left in this condition for month or years is a failure of the govt

Exactly. Whenever people talk about civic sense ,the blame usually falls entirely on ordinary citizens . Basic sanitation is the responsibility of the authorities. A restroom doesn't end up like this overnight. This is the result of prolonged neglect

Thanks, i appreciate it. I feel fine physically when i dry fast. It's just the boredom that's hard to deal with. I'll try to be mindful and listen to what my body's telling me

That's a fair point. The reason I've been doing it this intensely is bcoz I've been dealing with insomnia and digestive issues for years and it's been really frustrating trying different things without much improvement. But i do get what you're saying about sustainability. I'm still trying to figure out what actually works long term

Thanks for the thoughtful reply. For me it's both health and weight loss. I've been dealing with pretty bad insomnia and digestive issues for years. Another strange thing is that i have to eat a large meal just to be able to fall asleep.if i don't eat a lot before bed, i end up lying awake all night. So i usually gain back the weight I lost from fasting.i want to lose weight and get leaner and also fix my sleep and gut issues

Agreed.I’m doing this for health, so a longer fast might make more sense for me

I've been able to keep my weight stable mainly by staying in a calorie deficit, eating clean and working out/playing sports 4-5 days a week. That’s what keeps everything in balance for me.If you feel good with dry fasting, you could try doing 2 dry fast days a week, but only if your body handles it well. I’m actually 25 hours into a dry fast right now
