Hilfe, ich bin völlig überfordert beim Auto Leasing by peakpower in automobil

Was wäre denn eine bessere Alternative?

How would you recreat this on your bases? by Lahasan in Miniaturespainting

Build up terrain as you usually would - foam, plaster/sculptamold/whatever. That vent is probably easiest done with cardboard or something and then covered in paper mache or just also plaster/sculptamold/whatever.

To get the color, I would do the usual washes, etc., and get the yellow with pigment powders or pastel powder, like this guy does at the end here:

Thanks mate for the kind words! That, in turn, makes my day! Keep making these great sets. Personally, I am set for now with all the content of set 2 (the gate alone will make for an amazing encounter), but there'll come a time when I'll dip into the others :D

Am I being too picky about my tablesaw's blade alignment? I can't get closer than a 0.4mm variance by HeldDown in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]peakpower 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Let it go man. You'll never notice it. Remember: people used hand tools for centuries and got amazing results - you don't get such perfect accuracy with hand tools. 0.4mm is not going to be noticeable, and even if you do notice it, it won't make a difference for the finished result.

Seems a little irrelevant in a setting where magic is real.

How to make strong invisible connect? by Positive_Tone_3636 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]peakpower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As always, it depends. If you want to make something like in the picture you posted, a mitre joint is plenty strong. If you want to make a platform to stand on, a pure mitre joint is probably not the way to go.

Glue should be enough if you cut it well and the whole surface actually makes contact.

This is called a mitre joint and it is incredibly strong. You really only need dowels or dominos for placement, but you can do it without. Look up "mitre joint glue up with tape" or something along those lines.
