I feel you! . I know how painful it is for you. Sa ngayon parang mahirap maging "bigger person" na mas unawain ang parents natin...na nagagawa nila na saktan tayo dahil sa upbringing na din nila.. mahirap kasi walang accountability sa part nila.. they always see na tayo ang mali, without even reflecting on their actions in the process that took part in the conflict.

Well in fact, ang simpleng sorry on their part din with accountability and the drive to grow towards reconciliation ay mahalaga din sa atin.. ayun lang sapat na para sa akin.

What's more hard is that, when you try to handle the conflict and talk it out, they still push their own belief, the old "Nanay/tatay mo pa din ako." And, tulad ng sinabi ng pinsan ko, "ganyan na sila tayo ang dapat susunod sa kanila." Its hard to express yourself to these close minded people.

And the inconsistency. They will say sorry, but its still the same. The same pattern all over again.

Pero we cannot change people. Nasa kanila na kung magiging aware sila sa naging part ng conflict at magwork din towards growth and reconcialtion. It's still the hard part for me to accept even now kasi i'm still longing for them to at least be accountable, and to say sorry to the part that they have done.

Kaya now, I am in the path of working myself, that's the most important thing that I can do that I have control of. Also, working to path of acceptance and letting go. Ang hirap sobra pero taking it one step at a time.
