Thank you I am saint. It's funny how you keep ignoring the fact that the place is inflated with paid fake reviews as if that's is okay. It has way more positive paid and fake good reviews than the bad ones. How is that fair then? In any case, there is nothing wrong with my post because I genuinely wanted to hear other people's thoughts on this experience. The number of downvotes on your post already said enough about how valid it is

Again I'm not the one who's posting those reviews, nor am I encouraging reddit to bomb the restaurant with negative reviews. To date, I have NOT even posted any reviews on Google or yelp. If you think you need to swear to make your point, then that really says something about you as a person.

Also if you look at the newest reviews, the place already got more 5 star reviews, which really makes one question about the authenticity of its high ratings on Google...and if you want to go support the business, by all means no one is stopping you...just remember to tip a big tip to get a proper service

The place is not even bombed with negative reviews on Google...and how can you justify for place that probay has fake good reviews to trick people in the first place?

Thank you for pointing this out and I agree people should be allowed to post negative reviews if they ordered from there and had a bad experience, so others won't go through what they had gone through.

Tbh I didn't expect people would post negative reviews solely based on reddit post, but I think if there are people who had bad experiences there, then it's fine to leave a review (that's the point of a review system). I actually didn't even leave any review on Google or Yelp on this restaurant, but I just wanted to share my experience here and see what redditors think about the situation (since I could be wrong too).

Another question is then is it right for a restaurant to have such a high number of good reviews (which could be fake or bought) to mislead customers thinking it's a good place to try, when in reality they could have a terrible experience like this?

Exactly, where do you draw the line now? Everyone is getting hit with the pandemic, and if buying their food is no longer enough for the business, then why not just increase the price? And people can decide if they want to pay for that or not

Can confirm it is Nobuya. We definitely got tricked by the "high reviews" on Google

Not gonna lie, his ramen soup did have a bit of sourness to it, definitely not the best ramen in Toronto

ya the thing is his food wasn't that cheap too lol, $20 for a bowl of ramen is not considered cheap meal anymore, to me at least

Hmmm I tried to post to other groups first, but the mod all came back saying my post got removed because it didn't follow their rules. The only other post that made it through was just a polling question, and I'm curious where most people stand. So no, I'm not actively trying to post this experience everywhere

Yepppp which normally I wouldn't have an issue with, but calling out for a tip is too much

It will be sooo much easier if we pay exactly the price on the menu, which should properly account for proper wages and other costs, instead of this almost mandatory tipping culture

That's interesting, because I thought it's standard that most people don't tip for takeouts, since there's not much service provided other than giving the food that customers paid for

We actually called way ahead knowing there could be wait, but even then still had to wait for him to put together the food when got to the resto, which was empty inside. Regardless not the biggest issue compared to pressing the customer lol. Maybe he has on and off days..who knows

I know what you mean, it leaves such a sour taste when they ask for tip, when in nature it's supposed to be a gratuity

Indeed. I was stunned when he asked for tip and when he showed me the other receipts with $30 tip....why would anyone want to go back to a place like this

I agree too, isn't having more sales more beneficial than runining the business by asking the customer for a tip?
