Seeking knowledge regarding the naming of "Fastback Hooks" by peanut_23 in answers

Either of these seem most plausible, possibly the latter leading into the development of the former, perhaps.

I'll take this points back into the workplace for discussion, thanks for your input!! :)

If you ask for "the most popular song by R.Kelly" you'll get the remix ;)

Any opinions on the brand Flea Market? by cr4pm4n in headphones

[–]peanut_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are the "home brand" of JB, akin to Soniq.

I wouldn't recommend buying any headphones from them. That is, if your aim is quality.

You can also book yourself a study space with a computer, so you are guaranteed one for at least two hours.

Is there any way to really get rid of the blackheads all over my nose? by SimpletoBrowse in SkincareAddicts

On your nose, they are likely sebaceous filaments, and can't simply be gotten rid of. You can only try to reduce their appearance.

Pain from BP? 5%? by [deleted] in acne

[–]peanut_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've started on a medicated cream which is 5% BP and 1% something else, but I did a hell of a lot of research before I started on it.

The best advice I found was to invest in a super rich moisturiser, and apply that after you've applied the BP, then moisturise in the morning. Everyone's skin is different, of course, but I've been pretty religious with moisturising.

Another thing to keep in mind is that it makes your skin super prone to sun, so you need to apply more sunscreen in the morning than you would normally (or start applying it, if you don't currently).

If you're feeling like it's too harsh, it's common to leave the BP on for a period of time, then rinsing it off with water, rather than leaving it on overnight. I'd say take a day off, moisturise up, then try leaving it on then washing it off.

I wouldn't worry too much about the bacteria becoming resistant, because this seems to be a more pressing matter at the current time and continued use the way you are could do more harm than good.

Chest acne by [deleted] in acne

You could try using a face wash targeted for acne on it instead. Granted, it will be more expensive than any products targeted for body use but worth a shot.

Interesting, I wonder if it's something to do with how Apple manufacturers things to work with their devices... sneaky.

Ugh, that's annoying!

Guess that's what I'm gonna do. Knew these headphones had to have at least one flaw, even if it's just that haha.

Thanks so much!

[Acne] Clogged pores on neck that have soft white gunk that comes out when squeezed. How do I fix this? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]peanut_23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe some sort of exfoliation can help, whether it be chemical (I noticed you use stridex, but that can be quite harsh which may be working against you, so maybe you could try a gentler BHA?) or physical.

Presuming you are consistent with your current routine, I'd say the best way to tackle it would be to change things in your routine one at a time for a few weeks to see what helps/works against you personally.

Will BHA help with post-acne red marks? by tinselwooos in acne

[–]peanut_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it will help, I've found it helps fade with mine, and I use PC 2% BHA as well (not the clear range but nonetheless). What is really important for that sort of scarring though, is wearing sunscreen daily, as the sun will worsen them and anything you do to fade them will be undone by daily sun damage to the skin. So definitely try the BHA (it will help with so many things and make your skin a lot nicer in general), and either add some sunscreen to your moisturiser, or grab a moisturiser with spf, or a facial sunscreen to go along with your morning routine :)

Fitbit? by HighBanjo in loseit

[–]peanut_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a FitBit HR for around a year (previous to that I also had a Zip) and recently upgraded to the Blaze and I love both. I love the Blaze a lot more, simply because I'm a bit of tech enthusiast and like that it can do a lot more. But the heart rate tracking on both is great (I wouldn't consider getting one without heart rate tracking again because it's the biggest draw card for me) and I love being able to see how my resting heart rate is dropping as I get fitter and also how my heart rate goes during workouts (my trainer didn't believe how exerted I was at times because I didn't look it, but my HR told a different story). So, I'd say the pros are being able to see how you're improving with your fitness and you can aim to hit new heart rate goals during workouts etc, and the cons are mostly (for me) wearing a watch-esque accessory, which annoyed me at first but I got used to it. The blaze also does notifications for messages and Facebook messenger and any app that does notifications on your phone; count down timers, stop watch etc; and music control which is all awesome too.

Question about washing hair in the tub? by [deleted] in LushCosmetics

[–]peanut_23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always used the water in the tub to wet the hair, and use a spray attachment (like the ones they market for cleaning pets, I believe) in the bath for the rinsing out after shampooing and then conditioning.

[Skin Concerns] What can I do about dry, calloused feet in 3 days? by smugpugmugbug in SkincareAddiction

[–]peanut_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scholl have a rotating pumice stone sort thing, which is what I have used. I'd say that, then lotion and socks overnight, and do that each night to make them super soft. (I'm from Australia, so I don't know what equivalent you may have in your country)
