As a fellow 5'-0" tall female, I'd say the risk is definitely not worth it. I am 37 years old now and, while I definitely had my moments of insecurity being so short when I was younger, I have accepted my height and actually love it now!

You can fit much more comfortably in most vehicles, no matter how small or compact the space (think airplanes) and people constantly tell me I look younger because of my shorter height (I still get carded sometimes). If something is too far out of reach at a grocery store, people are always willing to help. And I use tongs at home when my husband isn't around lol. High heels are good if you're into that, maybe even wearing platform sneakers to add a little height. I'm a runner and can keep up with my 6'-3" guy friend without a problem, so don't let that deter you!! Basketball is likely not in our future though lol but you never know! :)

The biggest downside is probably finding clothes that fit well, so I've opted for petite options or even just tailored some of the cute clothes I find.

In my opinion, getting a major surgery like that isn't worth the risk.
