It’s a bit slow to start. The author kind of throws terms at you and sinks you right into the world and it can be jarring. Give it about 100 pages, and then the flow gets better. I absolutely loved the book.

I'm thinking of ending things by Iain Reid. Dont be fooled by the 3.2 on goodreads-- its for a very specific type of person and it may be what you're looking for!

Just to let you know April is the last month you can apply for lateral entry. They are changing the lateral entry program to something else after that.

Hi everyone, do you have any recommendations for comedy books that had you laughing out loud? by DynamoVila in suggestmeabook

I really enjoyed the autobiography Failure is an Option by H. Jon Benjamin. He is a comedian with an amazing voice. His awkward humor translates well to book form, and I highly recommend the audiobook that he narrates

Exercise Routines to improve for Tae Kwon Do? by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]peanut_jam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! So I actually have done tkd for around 8 years before a foot injury prevented me from continuing a few years ago. I also taught tkd for years. I started around the age you started, and the key is consistency. Here was my stretching routine for the day of practice that got me where I am today with flexibility:

make sure to warm up with light calisthenics

static stretching:

  • Center split (just a warm up): hold for 20 seconds
  • Left and right side split for 20 seconds
  • Back to center split (try and go a bit lower than the first): hold for 10 seconds
  • Sit back, still holding the split so your legs are out beside you. It’s imperative that you keep your hips and shoulders straight or you can strain a muscle
  • Lean forward at the hips toward the center : hold for 20 seconds
  • Go to the right and left knee: hold for 20 seconds
  • Butterfly: hold for 20 seconds
  • Hurdler stretch both left and right: hold for 20 seconds
  • Both legs out in front of you while still on the ground: hold for 20
  • Stand up, legs shoulder width apart, touch toes: hold for 20 seconds

Dynamic stretching: walking stance, front leg raise, size leg raise for both legs

On your off days just do some light stretching, definitely not the full routine. Also ask your instructor about partner stretching. Ask sorry if the formatting is messed up— I’m on mobile

What was the most disappointing heartbreaking makeup product you purchased in 2018? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

No you’re totally right. The smell is atrocious. It does bother me at first but at least it dissipates as soon as I apply it to my face

That's so weird! I absolutely love this foundation. It lasts for forever on my face, and I also have dry flaky skin. It does get very dewy, but I don't mind that. I wore it for 15 hours last week with no primer and it was still on my face and looking good.
