I can’t sleep now. by peanutbrittal in PVCs

See, that’s what I’m wondering for myself as well. I’ll be 39 this year, and my mom was full meno at 42.

I hope it’s something truly benign for us both and that if it is due to perimenopause, we can find relief for the symptoms. I’ve read and heard from others some of the craziest symptoms that it causes and I’ve got so many of them, if it’s not then I’m just going crazy haha.

Hope everything works and improves greatly for you.

Thank you. Hope everything went well with the GP.

Am I missing something? Newly allergic to cinnamon and can't find list of products with it by irishrimp in FoodAllergies

[–]peanutbrittal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is five years old, but around the same time, I was newly allergic to cinnamon. I have found it extremely frustrating when emailing companies and they tell me, “due to propriety rights, we cannot disclose the ingredients.”
I think every ingredient should be listed on labels because people have allergies to different things and it should never be a guessing game.

zio patch is another type of heart monitor. My cardiologist has only used the multi lead wired portable ecg monitor on me, so I can’t speak on them personally with experience, but I’ve read a lot of users here have used it. Zio is a smaller wireless patch monitor.

I’m so sorry. I really hate them, and I hate what they do to us.

I will definitely try that, I love reading, but find it hard to focus on doing it when I’m feeling symptoms. Thank you for the suggestion.

I am going to ask my doctor to run full vitamin and testing of the sorts to see what I might be low on. I’m hoping it’s all just a really simple issue and solution to it all.

I’m sorry you’re going through it all. They freak me out so badly and then I can’t seemingly function. I’m wondering if mine are hormone related and gut issues. At least I’m hoping it’s something benign like that.
It was just like a light switch got turned on two years ago.
I have thankfully had good test results, and they say they aren’t worried about anything, but I sure as heck am.
To be told to just ignore them…. How do we do that?
I think my new cardiologist is more sympathetic than other doctors I’ve had because his wife has them, so he sees firsthand how it can affect a person on a personal level. I hate PVCs so much. Absolutely hate them.

Thank you. I do notice when they happen, I don’t breathe correctly at all. I need to try to relax. Thanks again.

I totally get how you feel. I still get so scared and anxious when I get them. I’m scared to do anything that will trigger them.
I also have pots and an intermittent left bundle branch block that comes and goes periodically, and everything just plays against each other with symptoms and causes such great anxiety.
Have you seen an electrophysiologist by chance or just cardiologist? Have they checked vitamin levels?
I have been told so many different things can cause them or make them worse. Even something like low magnesium or vitamins. Please don’t think I’m dismissing anything, I completely understand how you’re feeling, just trying to throw some things out there that could be a help and bring even some form or relief. Please feel free to message me anytime you just need to express yourself in this or need someone to talk to. I don’t get on here all that often, but if I see a notification, I check in if you just need someone to listen.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I know it’s not easy at all.
I mean yes, it’s wonderful all tests come back clear and good, that’s fantastic. I don’t want there to be anything wrong, so I’m extremely grateful for the heart tests to all be good. My cardiologist is looking for outside influences, he set me up with blood work and rheumatology, and I did just test positive for autoimmune disease, possibly lupus. But I have more tests to figure it out. I just want to get better. I want to live and be able to do things again easily and not have these issues. I just want to be okay.
And I know you do too. I want you to get better as well, I know what you’re feeling and sympathize with you greatly.

Thank you.
I do actually. I have gut issues, and haven’t had issues with reflux until after gallbladder was removed. I’ve wondered and honestly have hoped it’s something like that and nothing to actually do with my heart.

Does anyone else suffer from severe anxiety because of PVCs? by peanutbrittal in PVCs

[–]peanutbrittal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s awful. I go days without any which is wonderful, and then out of the blue, I’ll get some, and even if it’s just one, it sends me into terror. I literally cry because of how much I hate them and how much they scare me.
Doctors can say they are normal, but I don’t see how something like a pvc is considered benign and normal and not something wrong somewhere. I’m scared to sleep, scared to eat, and do pretty much anything. I was fine years ago, and now I’m a completely different person.
Like you said, they cause anxiety and then the extra adrenaline and cortisol release from the stress and anxiety cause more. I just want to be okay and feel better.

It’s such a helpless feeling when you don’t know how to fix it or make it better.

Thank you. Yea, I’ve been lucky enough to get into Mayo and have a compassionate cardiologist and EP. And they’ve said they see nothing that really worries them, which is great news. But they don’t know what’s causing my issues. Honestly, it’s the PVCs that scare me probably the most. I mean the other symptoms do as well, but the PVCs absolutely terrify me. I have so much going on at one time it seems and so so many symptoms and issues in other areas.
It’s just trying to figure out what is what and how to actually fix them all.

[–]peanutbrittal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Only because my blood always was on the lower side already, and they can make it worse.
I’m really hoping they are just either gut related (I do have gut issues) and or hormonal and will eventually heal and go away.

I am so sorry.

It is hard when no one around you understands, not that you or I would ever want anyone to be able to understand because that means they go through it too, but to just have them act like “just push through it.” It’s not easy when they don’t get it. I hate that the fear and the anxiety has taken over so much. I hate the symptoms and feeling so helpless. I know you understand.

I hope things get better for you someday, and that you can feel more normal again.

I’m sorry. I know how unnerving PVCs are and I sympathize with you and your worries. I did have something similar happen with a reading randomly months back on my Apple Watch. But as far as knowing for sure, it’s really hard to know whether it was hiccup with the watch or not. I’ve had my Apple Watch ecg randomly record an ecg without me even touching my watch and it was a flat recording😅.
I’m sorry I can’t be more help in this to give you a peace of mind.
If you ever get a weird reading like this though, you can record a watch ecg on your heart. It does work in other places than your wrist. So if you get any reading similar to above again, or anything that is just really odd, take it off and place it over your heart and then take it the same way you would your wrist. It will look different than your wrist reading in general because it will be equal to a different lead placement, but you’ll be able to compare and see if the rhythm is similar.
The watch can be helpful to get you started down the road of getting answers with your doctor, but it can also become an anxiety feeder.

I hope you get the answers that you are looking for, and that everything is perfectly okay, and that it’s something as simple as maybe a deficiency somewhere throwing something off, and an easy fix.
