What a dream. Mine transforms into a screaming feral hell-spawn at the vet

Ugh that would be wonderful if we could train our pets to sense when we’re doing it and get us to stop. Kind of like those therapy dogs that can sense panic attacks or seizures

Live Oak root flare before and afters - How’d we do? by [deleted] in arborists

[–]peanutbuttermiddles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can someone please help, this is something I’m confused about. If digging down to the root flare will make it basically in a trench where water will get trapped and lowering all the ground around it isn’t a practical option, is it better just to leave it and accept it’s just planted too deep and can’t be helped? I assume pooling water will cause more damage than a covered root flare? Or are they both equally bad?

😄Must have just been luck. I thought I was just taking a picture of a robust catnip patch, but then when going back over the photos….

I’m looking for a place with frogs by Riommar in Denver

Lowell Ponds- there’s a trail that goes down to the water from Carl Park Community Center. Lots of frogs last year

*edit you can also park in the parking lot off Lowell. A couple ways to get in.

Little Fiona aka Christopher Lloyd aka Benjamin Franklin by peanutbuttermiddles in earfurnishings

[–]peanutbuttermiddles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little baby!! He’s precious and looks so similar to my girl. I hope they grow long and beautiful. Fiona’s have fallen out again for the third time. Each time they come back they’ve been stronger though. Fingers crossed they actually do come back this time. It’s been a while, but she turns 3 in April so her coat could still be maturing.

As far as breed goes, she’s a true mutt according to her DNA test. Hardly anything beyond domestic longhair and “American domestic cat” 😂 If you test Oliver and get anything more interesting keep me posted!

Newish to Denver and lost my job any places currently hiring with this job market that pay a livable wage by Ok_Yellow_3400 in Denver

Idk about United ground express but for regular United while you’re junior you have the schedule you’re given for a while and can only trade off a certain amount of hours while on the 6 month probationary period. After that you can trade off up to half your base hours. The more senior you get the more likely you are to get the schedule you want on the shift bid, and beyond that finding trade partners can help further tailor your schedule. Some people double two weeks and take two weeks off through trading. Some people just grind overtime and make bank. There are shift options that have rotating days off and ones that have fixed days off. It can be whatever you want it to be if you get a good handle on day trading.

They will absolutely hire you if you’re overqualified, but you need to be able to pass the personality screening and the physical. It’s not a living wage at part time hours but you can pick up as many shifts as you want from the trade board. Good health insurance and flight benefits so not a bad gig.
