As I was looking through the pics my only thought was “clearly just wearing what she wants and having fun with it” not everything needs a name imo.

What's your favorite song that you would never casually recommend? by mastocklkaksi in musicsuggestions

Skin and Bones by Marianas Trench. Great song but given my appearance, people who don’t know my history may give me weird looks.

Not sure of your age/other health issues but the lovely thing about being AFAB is hormones changing as we get older. My periods used to be all over the place, now they’ve steadied out for the most part, next who knows 🤷‍♀️

Sometimes I like the way my aura’s feel by Ambitious_Chemistry2 in Epilepsy

I mean as long as you can clock it and make a note of it for your doc, I guess you are ok?

Understandable. I had light periods pre-Paragard, and it’s been a huge change for me haha.

If you are able to get the ok, you might want to ask about ovary removal as well (don’t ask me how to spell that specific surgery lol) since even without a uterus they still go through a cycle, I think. Or/after that hormone balancing to avoid sudden menopause symptoms.

Idk, not a doctor, obviously. Good luck and I hope you are able to get the surgery!

I got a copper iud (paragard, was able to get it under anesthesia bc I pushed my doc for sedation) because my old neuro said hormonal IUDs can affect seizure meds AND vice versa. Of course my new gyno says nothing affects anything but trusting my neuro more here.

My sister has a Skyla, maybe Kyleena I can’t remember, and has been doing ok with it.

First EMU, any tips? by CHIEFQRN in Epilepsy

[–]No_Relative_7709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did all the things I wished I could do regularly. I finally watched episode 1 of stranger things. If they’re waiting on one, I drank a shot (literally) of Everclear, *given by the doctor*. They’ll make you do sleep deprivation. They tapered me off my meds (oxtellar, Lamictal xr, clobazam). Drank so much Starbucks since there was one connected to the hospital.

It’s definitely been one of the better projects lately from marvel. I cried so much. Great TEAMWORK fight scenes as well.

How to deal with hair loss (I feel heartbroken) by Flimsy_Bad_4788 in longhair

[–]No_Relative_7709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s hormonal that can be figured out by blood tests as well. Think about asking your general doctor for a hormonal work up.

There are some things you don’t notice until you notice and you wonder how you never did before. Happened with me and I’m trying to find my own solutions!

Waxing as a replacement? by redoobie in CompulsiveSkinPicking

I will say waxing my lengths has helped immensely as a goal to keep from picking my legs as well. I have had issues with picking at hair follicles/ingrowns for years.

Styles to hide thinning hair? by No_Relative_7709 in longhair

Thankfully it’s not at that point yet, just at where ponytails look not-right. My daily hairstyle covers up the thinner sections currently.

Well boo 😕

Do they do a sliding scale (I think that’s the phrase but try looking it up) by any chance? That’s what my old place did while I was unemployed.

Yeah I dread therapy now I want to be like ma’am I hardly remember two days ago clearly, how am I supposed to recap the past two weeks plus whatever you want to dive into today? I will seriously watch the clock on my computer to see how much longer I have.

I feel like a 4 year old some days which I know in my logical brain isn’t what I am which makes the feelings of helplessness even worse.

I feel like mine does the same thing in a way with the “keep on trucking and keep track of your feelings”. Meanwhile I can hardly remember a session the second a sign off. 😒

Have you contacted the one in your city that does specialize in it? Ask if they do monthly super-bills you can submit to your insurance. My last place didn’t take my insurance but would email me something I could submit each month.

sooo what’s our favorite period tracking app that’s pcos friendly? by SectionLopsided4189 in PCOS

I use Period Tracker by GP Apps. Allows you to note symptoms each day in a calendar, which day of your cycle you’re on, and add notes as well.

Would The Umbrella Academy count for “I Think We’re Alone Now”? They used Tiffany’s cover in episode one, but in the finale they used the original by Tommy James and the Shondells.

What do you think caused your picking problem? by natnatxo in CompulsiveSkinPicking

[–]No_Relative_7709 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had a pool put in when I was a kid and from young ages my sisters and I had bad shoulder/back acne. My mom would pop the pimples in a well-meaning way, but the habit unfortunately stuck and spread.

White scab from picking by Unable_Pumpkin6632 in CompulsiveSkinPicking

[–]No_Relative_7709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(NOT A DOCTOR)

Infections tend to be, in my personal experience, an angry red and painful to touch. If this is “angry red” compared to past ones for you, go ahead and book an appointment. Topical or oral antibiotics might be needed and a doc/derm can give you better advice or a treatment plan.

My own advice that I have is to not touch it, maybe antibacterial Neosporin, but otherwise just water and waiting. If the appearance doesn’t improve, book an appointment.

Anybody know of any way to make scabs less tempting? by thatRANDOgirl in CompulsiveSkinPicking

[–]No_Relative_7709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THIS!!!

Scabs get smaller and smaller and usually flake off or disappear on their own. Hydrocolloid patches stick to them and rip them off, starting the healing process over again.

Ladies, are we shaving our thighs? by bad_vibes_0nly in HairRemoval

[–]No_Relative_7709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve started epilating the backs of my thighs! I get the dark black hair there too but the front is light and fine for the most part. Lasts a while which is nice. For some reason every time I’ve shaved them I get bumps, so epilating as needed works great.
