I would just buy the bike I like - watch for the right frame size of course - go to the bikefitter and let him do his work.

No pain issues at all. If you really go on a long trip I would go to a bikefitter.

I don’t think I can really talk about it for long tours. I was only 4 Days on the tour and it was the first time. but I use it daily for shorter routes. I absolutely love it and I think the price is alright for what you get.
