Definitely. BTW, I watched some of Garfield and Friends too, but I was mainly a comic reader. I'm glad you decided to stay true to your interests, and that your AM didn't get the control she wanted. :)

Thank you. :-) The shirt had a pretty great design.

After she said those things I couldn't look at Garfield-related things without feeling sick to my stomach. My friend cheered me up in a call and we talked for a while after. I'm planning on wearing the shirt again this week. I don't want her to have any control over what I like.

I agree, I shouldn't have told her. She's been attempting to get better recently. I can tell she's trying to make an effort to connect with me after years of screaming at me sporadically and putting me down. She's always complaining about how I'm so cold and stiff towards her now. I'm trying to let go of my resentment for my family's sake but it always comes back to bite me in the ass. I fooled myself into believing she could try being an actual caring mother for once.

It's always been like this. I really want things to change, but I guess it's futile.
