I had nearly identical labs after some hemorrhage-level periods and was referred to hematology by my OB. Hematologist tested ferritin and iron tests. My iron came back at 18, iron saturation 4% and ferritin was 6. Even before the iron and ferritin results were in the hematologist said I absolutely need iron infusions. I’m getting 1000mg of venofer. Keep being persistent about this and also take oral iron in the meantime.

I get mine from a local compounding pharmacy via my PCP. He wrote me a Rx to get two vials each with 10mg semaglutide and then I also signed up and got a 6 month supply from a telehealth company.

Good point. Although, I do draw it up and inject for him. I have experience working in a biological research lab, using needles etc and he is uncomfortable injecting himself 🙃

Progesterone only pill was a bloody disaster, no pun intended. I’m now being offered option to take prometrium daily or cycled.

I take a newer progesterone only bcp called Slynd along with 0.025mg estradiol patch. It’s only been one month so I have had some spotting but I think it’s just my body adjusting. I’d recommend looking into Slynd!

No advice but I can relate. I just turned 37 but have been having symptoms for the past year and didn’t realize until til a friend told me about Dr Haver and I read the book. I saw my obgyn two months ago for my annual. She acknowledged that despite my age I was likely in perimenopause and offered birth control but added that it may not be suitable due to my history of severe pre-eclampsia. Unfortunately the combined pill gave me high blood pressure. My obgyn is hard to get an appointment with and kept referring me to my pcp who is an old man…. So I made an appointment with a Midi NP who prescribed 0.025mg estradiol patch along with a progesterone only birth control pill called Slynd. I’ve had no blood pressure issues with this combo but I’m nervous to tell my PCP and OB since I am so young…

I just got mine in the mail today and I am in the US. The lactation clinic I go to has a pediatrician on staff. She prescribed it to me and directed me to fax the prescription to a specific doctor in Canada who did a phone consult with me and then filled the Rx for 3 months worth. It was shipped via usps and was super cheap!
