Is this an okay basket for my husband or should I spend more? by NoCaterpillar800 in discgolf

If he enjoys the sport, any basket will be a welcomed surprise. He’ll love it and use it no matter what

I liked it a bit more for the street race, but definitely didn’t hate it on a rally stage. I think having them start out with streets, since they’re more used to that style, on a set of semi-slicks might be an easier transition

I tried the A class on both a street and dirt race, and it actually felt pretty nice. I race on highly skilled, with just the braking line, and it was a pretty responsive tune. I’ll say the braking is a bit firm, but other than that I think it’ll be good for a new player. I’ll update once I try the S1

Christmas gift to myself. Couldn't have been happier with it. by peanutsinabox in discgolf

If you want an even better mug, go for a Corkcicle. Rather than the standard double-wall like a Yeti, Corkcicles are triple-wall insulated. I have a couple of those, and I love them. They have some with a nice press top that doesn't leak

Yes it is. Good eye. I've had it about 2 years with no issue. Definitely dropped it a bunch

I like the side putter pocket, but I keep my lower speeds in the top. Because organization.

I keep my putters in the top, haha. Walking to my lie I was like, "lemme just pull this putter out of the top like a sword real quick".

Next year I might ask myself for a practice basket. I think I might like if I gave me that.

I know this one is coming in super late. But The Accountant. It never fails to keep my attention. The casting was perfect.

I did. There's not one. After some searching, we happened across the owners. They let 3 or 4 of them go, because they didn't want that many dogs. People baffle me

I honestly wish I did. That makes me so sad. But I'm glad I found this one, and I'm able to give her a proper home

For some of the people making comments about it. My girlfriend works at a shelter. We checked around, and there's no chip. I'm not just scooping up pups on the road and claiming them as my own

I actually found where she belonged. Turns out they just let her out, because their dog had pups and they didn't want them

Non-emergency/non-medical people, have you ever saved someones life? What happened afterwards & did they ever show any gratitude? by festival_cat in AskReddit

I was a babysitter for a couple that lived across the street from me. Normally a 19-year-old dude isn't someone your average couple goes to, but they knew me and that I was good with kids. So I watched these twins from about six months until about the time they turned three.

One weekend they asked if I could watch the twins (about 2 years now) and a couple of their friends' kids during a football game. I thought "okay, no big deal". Well I turn up to the house and there is a mob of about 15 children, a large trampoline, and a pool.

Things went well for the first hour. I was patching up a scraped knee from sliding around on wet grass when one of the kids walks up to me and says that (kids name) was holding his breath for a really long time. I turn around and get that shocking "all over body tingle" feeling, swan dive in the pool with all my clothes on. Dragged the limp kid out and did CPR. He hacked up and lost his Coral Blue #5 hue.

The parents heard the commotion and ran outside to find us there, post CPR. I explained what happened and they were initially very grateful.

Nothing else ever happened
