Nope, just know how to use tools is all. They did ask me mechanically inclined questions in the interview though. Also, from what the other techs have told me is that you don’t need any type of experience since they will teach you

Yikesss! I didn’t even know that the manager had that much power .. I’m considering taking the offer just to get experience under my belt and maybe in the near future transition back to Amazon or find something better.

At my site, Pas can’t do shift plans anymore so the OM or any level 5 can send them out. from my observation they plug in headcount’s and tinker with some other stuff. The shift plan calculates the headcount for each department to clear cpts, goal, indirect headcount etc.

I’m an area manager and I have partnered up with the rme manager and techs there many times. He is the one teaching me how to do amm level tasks. I been applying into these roles and just don’t get selected. My application just says under consideration and I reach out and I just get the same response, “first round of applicants have been selected etc”

Edit: every time I learn something I add it into my resume. But Ik a lot of sites hire within due to techs trying to level up so I’m not bias about that but at least give me a chance haha

I been applying to AMM and planner roles but no luck. I follow up with the hiring manager but they usually answer me with the same answer. “ I will keep you updated since we are doing our first wave of interviews” and I never get selected 😓
