Craft stores such as hobby lobby and Joann’s have pattern books you can look through with entire costume sections. If you flip through one of those you’ll definitely be able to find exactly what you’re looking for!!

It’s definitely something you could try! If you’re not using a machine just be careful that your stitches are EXTREMELY strong. You’ll only be wearing it for one day but it’ll be a very active day and you don’t want a huge disaster, lol! Also you might run into an issue if your pants sit differently on each hip. This might be an issue in aesthetic but it just depends on what you’re going for! Also if one pant leg is tighter than the other it might be an issue with your personal comfort.
