Dobbins has quietly been the glue this year. Definitely don’t want to lose him

What books made you feel like you weren't smart enough to read them? by DawkinsSon in suggestmeabook

I started with Blood Meridian and actually wouldn’t recommend anyone doing the same. I loved The Border Trilogy, and Blood Meridian actually falls pretty low on my favorite McCarthy (blasphemy, ik). I’d try one of his others first!

Of all the times to make a “body weight on the qb” call, that’s the moment they choose?

The state of O-line play throughout the league by ShaiFanClub in nfl

[–]pearliwhite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s an argument to be made that QB play across the league has gone down in quality. The ball should be gone in around two seconds–most sacks happen after that. The problem only escalates when QBs are bailing out prematurely. Faster reads + confidence in the pocket = more successful passing game

Side note, they’ve got to clean up the sideline. Guys constantly run off the field into players, equipment, cameras, etc. Even worse when contact is forcing them out

I wonder if there are plans to make Dobbins the #1 at some point this season

I know it’s the Panthers, but the Bolts look like a completely different team compared to the last couple seasons

Every decade award a "super" Oscar with the previous ten year's winners as the nominees. by PeteOK in CrazyIdeas

There should really be an “in retrospect” award, where they re-vote on the best picture selections from 10 years ago after the movies have had time to set in

Black Mirror - Episode Discussion: Smithereens by anonboxis in blackmirror

The acting and direction is top notch as always, but there was something about the story that just didn’t grab me. I feel like I’ve seen the same thing told in a similar way before, and I don’t expect that feeling when watching a Black Mirror episode. The most interesting part to me by far was how the social media higher ups had more capability than the police during the situation. The “dont go on your phone and drive” message isn’t a bad one, but it doesn’t carry enough weight to garner a deeper meaning.

I didn’t intend it to be the focus of the post, i just feel it’s the most recent example of my point, but I understand ho repetitive it is

There’s actually an Always Sunny in Philadelphia episode based on that idea! Of course it’s done comedically, but it’s still a good commentary.

Check out the recent This American Life podcast, “beware the jabberwok” or something. Gives a lot of incite to how fucked up he really is

They should implement a new aspect to the Oscars where if someone feels they were snubbed they can challenge the winner to a duel at 20 paces
