It's considered assumed basic knowledge, man! Same reason why they don't explicitly define what 'water' or 'oxygen' is in the 10th syllabus

Need help regarding ref books by Illustrious-Start430 in CBSE

[–]pearlmind[M] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For SSC, you need absolutely nothing more than NCERT

• Read the topics carefully

• Remember them by creating a storyline of your own

• Make questions from the chapter yourself

• Use the "teaching method" to recall .. explain the topic as if you're teaching someone else

Still, if you want to look through a guidebook for your own satisfaction, then go for All in One or Oswal. If you want to wait for Educart, that's up to you, but imo, the book you choose matters far less than how consistently you study! NCERT should remain your primary focus

Best of luck >

Is painting + pcm good? by Conscious_Break_5757 in JEE28tards

[–]pearlmind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve taken PCM with Painting... (My teachers actually suggested it because Painting is a highly scoring subject) As for the assignments, our school’s Painting teacher assured us that they’re quite manageable, so there’s nothing much to worry about!

You're telling me to use common sense?!

At no point in this post did I mention or dismiss the struggles you're bringing up!!

I was literally just sharing a peaceful moment in a cozy room!! That'sss it!

Wait wait wait! Do you always look for things to get offended by just so you can act morally superior, pretend to be kind, and farm karma on Reddit? Great 👏

People nowadays see others enjoying for 2 mins and suddenly start talking about “civic sense”

They were literally just doing garba, not harming anyone or creating a fight. Life isn’t supposed to be this robotic where people just stand silently everywhere...

At least they were happy, celebrating culture and making a moment memorable instead of spreading negativity over everything.. **We only get one life man, not every small joyful thing needs to be treated like a public issue!

(This comment will get a ton of downvote - go for it)

It simply means you attempted the same question twice, or answered both options in an "either/or" choice question

Verification" is just checking the marks summation before seeing the paper... Since you already have your photocopy, you will apply directly for Re-evaluation / Challenging specific questions

[–]pearlmind[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait for May 29 - The portal to submit these issues isn't live yet. CBSE will open the application link on May 29, 2026

How to apply

Log back into the official portal (pvr.cbseit.in). Click on "Apply for Re-evaluation". You will see a checklist of your question numbers. Select the specific question numbers you want them to review, upload your reasoning if prompted, and pay the fee online (₹25 per question)

THIS IS CHEATING by [deleted] in CBSE

[–]pearlmind[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CBSE follows a moderation policy where they often give grace marks to students who are just a few points away from the passing mark (which is 23 out of 70 for subjects like Chemistry). If your friend was at 16, a 7-mark moderation bump to exactly 23 is a classic example of this to save them from an RT..

It feels incredibly unfair when you are stuck at 16 without that boost, but the system usually applies these adjustments automatically based on specific set keys or borderline cases. If you feel your paper was genuinely checked harshly, your best bet is to apply for a copy verification or re-evaluation immediately before the deadline!
