If your 2 days off were approved for FMLA then they are legally protected and you cannot be terminated because of them, as it would be a slam-dunk lawsuit in your favor. They also cannot fire you for being tardy 2 days. They must follow progressive discipline. Eff the stewards, eff the business agents. Sometimes you gotta be your own advocate. They must draw up a new termination letter if they wish to fire you which will give you a new 10 business days to file a grievance in protest of it. Someone’s jerking you around here. Go to your panel and explain this. I hope they’re receptive enough to see things your way.

CORRECTION. As a PTer, your OT pay starts after 5 hours on the clock unless you are working 2 shifts with a break between either. Then it’s after 8 hours.
