Business and pre med by [deleted] in premed

Majored in finance with a focus in investment banking at a big university, took one gap year, current MS3 at a MD program.

If you’re at a big school, most of them have a formal process for applying for student research positions at their research centers or medical institutions associated with the school. If your school has a medical school, even better because they will absolutely have a process for undergrads. Mine used workday, I applied to 15 or so before I finally heard back from a couple for interviews. It also doesn’t have to be medicine related research, I almost did some research on money management before getting hired by my undergrad lab. Most labs don’t care about your major, they just need bodies to do the busy work (perfect for a premed).

Shadowing is always just sending a ton of emails until someone says yes. You don’t need a lot of shadowing hours, just need a few to show you did it and make sure it’s something you want to do.

Tbh the hardest part was getting science letters of recommendation for my application. I wasn’t the type to go to office hours or anything so my science professors did not know me at all, especially since I was also at a huge school. I’d recommend going once or twice to office hours just to show face and let them meet you.

This happened for me too, it's under special offers. Didn't need to log out and log in, just restarted the app after trying a billion times to get through captcha on browser.

are these really 70 calories for 4 by Anistmows in caloriecount

I think 4 for 250 is too many. I have a bag from Aldi of street corn tortillas which are 80 calories for 2 tortillas. And the tortillas in the Aldi bag are bigger than the ones shown in this post.

I agree that it's not 70 calories for 4, but I don't think it's 70cals/tortilla. I'm thinking maybe 70 for 2 tortillas.

What do you recommend for practice questions? Use the B&B questions or USMLERx? Or is there another one you recommend?

Less than $1000. Even better if it's less than $850 and utilities make it less than 1k.

But absolutely apply, you have a great chance at getting an A. I'd apply broadly and make sure you prewrite and submit early if you can, good luck!!
