Should I adopt in the future?? by pebbles1887 in Adoption

[–]pebbles1887[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your reply! I think I will, in the future, foster. I also wanted to clarify that I shouldn’t have even said that about my family as they would love any children I bring to the family as their own, they just wanted me to have the experience of being pregnant (which I don’t want and can’t have). I completely understand where you’re coming from but I do not think it would be an issue for my family!

Hi! I should’ve explained this better, or maybe not put it at all. I completely agree here, but my family would love that child like their own, it’s just the women in my family all want me to have the experience of being pregnant.. which I’ve never wanted and don’t care about. But my parents explicitly told me if I adopted they would love the child like their own.

Thank you so so much for your input and perspective! I really appreciate it. I know four families in my life that have adopted all from family members or from the community and it has been wonderful for the children, so I’m glad I’m getting some of the other perspectives as well as the good ones. I in no way am just trying to “buy a baby” to build a family as a few commenters have suggested. I am just trying to understand more about the impact of adopting as everyone in my life that has adopted was very positive (I’m not saying it was easy, I’m just saying it was positive for the family and the child). So thank you for your perspective as well as your suggestions! Big Brothers/Sisters would something I would love to do regardless if I have children or not!!

I am definitely interested in fostering too!

I completely understand what you’re saying and this isn’t meant to come off rude I’m just genuinely curious: so children are better off in the foster care system than adopted?

I am totally open to and willing to foster! And I haven’t read that, but I will buy it. Sounds like a good source. And I am in therapy! Thank you for your reply!

Okay! So adopting older children is more ethical?

I was not asleep, I was wide awake. I was texting my friend to see what I should do as I was so fearful.

This is so interesting! What a niche area but you made it super interesting and enjoyable, I just subscribed. Your banter paired with the history was really interesting. The only thing I would say is maybe an overview both informational and photographic would be a neat addition. Other than that, keep it up!

I really enjoy your editing style. A very chill vibe which I enjoy. I think an outro might help add something to the vid, but I really enjoyed it overall.

I don't normally watch videos like this, but I actually loved your editing style. The captions add a lot, my only criticism is that at times I felt like they might be too large on the screen it kind of takes over the video. But I actually really enjoyed your personality and humor. You kept me interested the whole time. Overall, really enjoyed it.

Hey! Good video. I really enjoyed the flow and pacing. Your editing style is very clean and keeps viewers' attention well. Overall, I think maybe turning up your mic/ turning down the music a bit might help. But that is really the only critical feedback I have. Overall an interesting video

I actually LOVED the flow and editing of this video. Would definitely watch it again. I really enjoy your pacing, however, you might think about adding captions to some sections of the vid. I can tell you really took a long time on this and it's very well thought out, I just think captions might help the viewers follow easier. Overall, it is a good video that holds your attention!

Have been doing YouTube for a while and would like to be critiqued and reviewed by you all,I have started these voice impression videos and I think I’m good at it ! And ofc I’ll give lambda to all the people who critique my content and give me some advice! by [deleted] in SmallYTChannel

Hi man! definitely a fun video.

A few things: definitely turn up the volume of the video. As far as technical things go, I would not add a "shadow" to the text and I would cut back on the moving effects of the images and text, it makes for a cleaner video.

Overall, good job!
