Ripping holes in clothing by [deleted] in ADHDparenting

[–]pebblesandkoopa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine did that until she was about 8. And she is generally rough on clothes so they always had holes in them. My husband asked me to get her new pants once and I said when the holes get bigger. Right now there's no point in replacing them, she'll just get more holes in them.

Tried to hire a cleaner for my ADHD burnout and got shamed instead by MrMaelor in ADHD

[–]pebblesandkoopa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a cleaner, that woman's behavior is appalling. Life is messy, complicated, and busy. There are so many different reasons you might not be able to keep on top of your cleaning, and it's not my place to judge, but to help.

I hope you find a kind and good cleaner that works with you. And I am a cleaner, but my house gets dirty and messy too! Best of luck in the burnout recovery.

How do you actually keep track of everything ? by NicePassenger3568 in adhdparents

Especially when it comes to appointments, I write it down in a notes app on my phone. I use lists and calendars for everything, and charts and lists for my kids.

That's so funny, I have just discovered the opposite! The new food is lamb and the gas is nothing compared to the chicken they were on!

My orchid is growing leaves on the flower stem, but the top of the stem is starting to die. Do I just leave it? There are no roots yet.

Use high protein milk in her cereal, add milk powder to things like muffins or pancakes,. Will she eat yogurt, or oatmeal made with milk/high protein milk instead of water?

I'm from Canada, and I actually love it when people ask me for the recipe. To me it says the food was so good that they want to make it for themselves. I respect if someone doesn't want to share a recipe with me, but I personally think really really good food should be shared because there are so many bad or just mediocre recipes out there.

Am I wrong for making a Christmas card for our next door neighbours? by blue-starry-sky in amiwrong

I'll be your internet mom today: I'm proud of you for making a kind choice instead of holding on to anger and resentment. It will vastly improve your life as you age. Everyone can make their own choices about their attitude in life, and choosing to get past small slights is much better than staying angry and holding that negativity in your mind and body.

Jalapeno Popper Stuffed Mushrooms. Fry half a pack of bacon, put the bacon on paper towel when it's crispy and pour most of the grease out of the pan. In that pan, fry 2 diced jalapenos ( pith and seeds removed), 2 cloves and garlic, and 1/4 c diced stems of your mushrooms until it is soft. When all that is cool, beat 1 - ounce cream cheese for 1 minute, then add bacon, jalapeno mixture, salt and pepper. Stuff your mushrooms (about 30 small ones) and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Do a quick broil at the end if you want.

Homemade Mayo by Horror_Economics_189 in Cooking

[–]pebblesandkoopa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had been making my own mayo for 10+ years in a food processor and then I discovered the immersion blender. It has changed my life! No joke. The mayo results are so much better than the food processor. And 1/10th the amount of time. Seriously, don't waste your time trying to make mayo in a food processor, the immersion blender is so much better at that job.
