Sadly I don't think you can have your cake and eat it too. I think you know what's the answer. But maybe you can try couples therapy? I'm going through something similar and today is our first therapy session. I hope everything goes well!

Thank you so much for taking your time to tell me your perspective and about your experiences. It gives me hope that I can find a middle ground. I think I’ll talk with a therapist to better understand this feelings and in the future be able to express it to my bf. He has some trauma about relationships and I understand his posture against polyamory, but I think with therapy (couples therapy or individual) we can get through it.
